Love Letter has the best song (When a Woman Loves) but Write Me Back is a stronger album overall

I have to hold off on my final vote. Based on the first 3 spins i give the advantage to LL. I could truly play LL straight through but this album so far hasn't been the same. WMB is a great album but imo LL has a better flow.

I was about to write the exact same thing.
To me, while none of the songs reach the heights that WAWL did, there's more songs with the 'repeat' factor. Love Letter I usually just let play from beginning to end. While I can do that with this album too, there's 'go to' tracks, like I'll be in the mood to listen to Believe In Me, and play that shit back to back to back to back. Next it's GreenLight that gets played 5 times in a row. And so on...
thats why I'm picking WriteMeBack. It. Has more songs that could potentially be on a greatest hits compilation.

I absolutely love both but LL had some structural issues that have lead to WMB edging it for me.

I think if there was as much live orchestration and instrumention on LL as there is on WMB it'll be a victory for LL.

WMB wins now though; it's a better album overall IMO

I have to go with Write Me Back ... he imo has taken this concept by the reigns & taken it to a whole new level!

Glad though he did the Love Letter & Write Me Back in two seperate releases ... just imagine if he released it as a Double Album?! ... R Kelly fans wouldnt have been able to cope with that one! that would have been too much in one offering!
