    EXCUSE ME??!!

Rob has been trying to do what, since 19-90-when???

So for the last 10 years Rob has built his career on trying to emulate Mosley? Come on Dawg get real, that's 1 of the most ridiculous things Ive heard in a minute and a half!

Tim's career has been built on thievery...I dont wanna hear a dime about Nelly or Justin, or actually anything post 2004 bcuz u darn well know that its been Danjahandz on the boards.

Tim has huge relevance in contemporary RnB and Hip Hop history, I cant deny that...but he has absolutely no relevance to Rob...past or present.

'Half On A Baby' was Rob bitin Tim?

Oh my days, I think I gotta step out of the forum for fresh air...somebody save me!!

Tim has production credits all over the place, but of those credits tell me this...

    1. How many of those tracks were 100% original compositions?
    2. Was it even Tim doing the work, or 1 of his many 'piano men' (do the names Scott, Jamal or Nate sound familiar to anyone?)

Tim is an arrogant bastard, and would have absolutely no musical connection with Rob...the guy has no soul, and this above all reasons why I wud never want Rob to work with him...it wud be 100% fake...I mean his long time friend and collaborator Missy aint even messin with him anymore, so what's up with that? In fact on most of the artists u mentioned it was probably Missy's songwriting, and melodies which made those songs...with Tim's beat adding that 'something' different...but they wud have been good songs without him.

I respect him, but DO NOT like him.

    ^^^^
Tim doesnt do anything in terms of songwriting...I'm talkin about the beat/the instru. After Tim dropped the ONE IN A MILLION and BACHELOR albums, everyone's beats started soundin like that. HALF ON A BABY included. I aint talkin melody...the beat. I love HALF ON A BABY, I hate Somethin For The People on MY LOVE IS THE SHIT. Rob always puts his own spin on current trends and thats why he stays relevant in pop culture.

Far as him bein arrogant, it's the same as Rob sayin he's the best all the time.
    I'm a Timbo fan/stan...and I'm a R Kelly fan/stan..they each stay in their own lane.

Missy and Timbo have reunited on her new album due this year, also Missy w/o Timbo is pretty wack.

Bossplaya u responded like a true gentleman...major respect for that bcuz I was kinda heated at the time and yr reaction cud have been along the same lines, so props for taking the higher ground.

When I was talking about arrogance, I was talking about his natural persona...Tim is just that guy I wud never get along with, so I wud say that was definitely a personal preference.

Now that uve said that Tim & Missy are teaming back up, I will keep it real and predict that some hits are on the way!

    Peace.

lol....I've gotten similar responses when I go on other boards and talk about how great R Kelly is.
Matter of fact, I post on a Timbaland board, and I have to defend Kells all the time.

    R. Kelly was lucky that HP/USM was released in my opinion especially with the trial still going on, so when you think about it Jive has given him alot of control.

Making Babies is a normal R&B/ Twelve Play album

Musical virus is probably never going to happen.

But i think if R. Kelly stays relevant in the industry for another 10 years then he probably could release all that including all the other albums he's wanted to release

I am leaning more towards the idea that Kells should just go independent. he would have, obviously, complete creative control and would be able to do whatever the fuck he wanted. which is what the fans really want anyway.

You know.....we have been talking about him JOINING Interscope........BUT

Has anyone ever wondered if maybe he is looking for a development deal?

    "Rockland/Interscope/UniversalMG" or "Chocolate Factory/Interscope/UniversalMG"

    Let's face it:

    1. A proven hit maker. No bones about it.
    2. He is getting OLD. A hard fact to swallow but a fact. As the years go by, Interscope may want to drop young acts into an R.Kelly label to develop them and make 'em hits. He did well for Aaliyah, Sparkle, Boo+Gotti and others he has done multiple tracks with (the Twista's, the Ciara's, the Trey Songz, the Tyrese's of the biz). THE PROBLEM WAS: His own career got in the way. As he grows older, Interscope/Univ may bank on this.........

    ALWAYS a possibility.

I think that with the right promotion behind it, Kells' new album--whatever it is--could be one of his biggest ever.

think about it: if he decides to stick with the studio route, and the studio makes the release of his new disc into a MUSICAL EVENT, it would be fucking enormous. much like CF, although that didn't really require studio backing as much because of the interest in the trial controversy as well as the excellent single Ignition Remix.

I like the idea of his own imprint on Interscope. Goin independent works on a small scale, but R still has time left as a 'major' artist. While he'd be makin more money off record sales personally, he wouldnt be selin as much w/o that major distributor push.
It's funny, someone said Kells is gettin old...41(!), but age seems to be a non-issue whenevr he releases new material. Other artists, LL...for example, it feels like people bring it up all the time.
