I believe that Kelly has the ability to create another TP2 which btw, is my all time favorite album. Funny thing when I first heard Double UP and even prior to that and I heard Kelly talk about the concept of the album I was immediately turned off because I'm kind of getting tired of all the collabos with rappers. But check this out, I've been messing with the track list of the album and if you guys get a chance to play this on your media player check it out. I came up with a track list of the double up cd where i eliminated some of the tracks that I didn't really care for, these are the tracks I removed : the intro The champ, Tryin to get a number ft Nelly, Get Dirty, Rock star, rollin (don't really care for any of these songs) I also left out Rise up (good song, but better served as a tribute song than on an R&B album that I'm tryin to get nice with ).

The following is the track list that I'm left with:
    1. Double Up - This is a hot ass track to start the album with
    2. Leave your Name
    3. Freaky in the Club - Hot track should be the next single.
    4. Zoo - Classic Kelly R&B
    5. I'm a flirt - Hot first single
    6. Same Girl - Good track
    7. Real Talk - Damn good song. This is classic R kelly music
    8. Hook it up - Good song ft rapper Huey
    9. Best friend - Another great track...goes back to his work with Sparkle here.
    10. Sweet tooth
    11. Havin a born
    12. Sex planet
    13. I like love - Great song to end an album with..Feel good song.
I've been listening to this tracklist non stop for the past few weeks. I really feelin' these songs on this tracklist. Its amazing in my opinion how getting rid of just of few of the tracks esp. the ones with southern rappers and all of a sudden the flow of this album is remarkable IMO.

So to answer the question I know damn well Kelly can give us another TP2 he just needs to sprinkle in a few hip hop songs here and there but not over indulge his audience with it. Because bottom line he's the king of r&b and people want to hear his r&b songs.

Thats why you see him branching off to differrent Genres cause he done did that and mastered what ever he put his mind to doing.
    co-sign.

I think the real issue is, Kellz advancing with the times and upgrading his sound, but some of the fans musical taste staying stuck in the past.

A bit late, but I've just voted on this poll. I agree that he won't be able to produce another TP-2, mainly because there are not two albums that are the same. A lot of factors come into play when making/producing an album, being one of the most important ones where your mind as an artist is at that particular moment in your life. He was in an specific frame of mind when he did TP-2, and that will never be repeated. Can he make another quality album? Damn sure. Can he make an album better than TP-2.Com? No doubt. The thing is, does he NEED to make/produce another TP-2? Hell naw.

Kellzfan...when, where and how did you meet Kells? I've met so many famous people but not him... Way to go!

To answer the question - he could if he wanted to...he just has chosen a different direction since Tp-2. Which leads me to my next point...I'm suprised how "hip-hop" influenced "Double Up" is, especially at this point in his career when his previous albums were more mature and less about partying in the club, drinking and smoking etc...but he needs to make the "dollaz" and appeal to the younger fans...the production is steller on "Double Up" - don't get me wrong. The lyrics are just really simple...

i disagree. He is a musical genius, anything the man writes is good. Just because he did double up, doesn't mean he can't go back to the TP days..

^^ For sure...Musically Rob has got more ability now than he has ever had and he currently has no boundaries, he really cud do anything...

Like many have said, its about what Rob wants to do and where he sees current popular music...but if he were to sit down with no external factors influencing him then he cud knock out another TP-2 for sure...

People gotta realise Rob is a Phenomenon and cannot be compared to anyone or anything...he has a God given gift and like many things from God, u cannot quantify it through human understanding...

    U just gotta 'Believe'!

Just like I don't think he could make another Happy People cd....Kells was really going through something personally (as he always mention) and making that cd was therapy.

Is Kells still capable to putting together a good cd....the answer is yes...but will he go back to his old roots is the question.
co-sign!!! He is the man, I just wish he was my man. But seriously, I think he did a very good job on Chocolate Factory. I loved Double Up too, but Chocolate Factory was better that TP2 to me.
