It's a tough one. I've always thought R. made immensely listenable albums with pretty much no filler on any of them, so it's always been hard to pick songs off a particular album. I guess I'm, not matter how much I enjoy it, liable to mark down Lover Letter Christmas but the reason is lame - a month from now, I'm now going to keep it on my iPod. I don't wanna think about Christmas in January - so as much play as it' getting the next few weeks, it's bye bye to that one.

I suppose Taxi Cab seems a little out of place, but I love that about it. Can I choose every track except the prelude (gonna skip it most times)...OK I can't pick a particular fave track nor a least fave one.

I guess Number One Hit might have been my least fave initially, but the live performance on JF has had me playing it all day, so if you had to hold a gun to my head and force me to give a favorite track then Not Feelin' The Love take it. MJ Central on that one near the end

^Im with you Steve, with a few minor tweaks.

'Not Feelin' The Love' got my vote, cuz of said 'MJ Central Vibe' but all the tracks are getting heavy love & rotation, so that will change by next week more than likely. I actually love the positioning of 'Taxi Cab' cuz its like the point at which the album switches gears. The thing which has surprised me the most though is how much Im listening to 'When a Woman Loves'.

When I first heard the song, I liked it more for its statement than the song itself. Over time it grew on me, but like many said I thought it was a 'piece' to be listened to selectively. The live performances took it to the next level, and now how it rolls in after 'Radio Message' and before 'Love Is' is just pure greatness. Gabo mentioned a 'Triple Threat' and those tracks sure are.

I really dont like voting for such things, its like when someone asks you "what is your favourite song" or "what is your favourite R. Kelly song"...

    Im like:

"Dude, that right there is an impossible question..."

and with the quality of this album, its becoming pretty impossible too. Even the simpler tracks like 'Just Cant Get Enough' and 'Just Like That' have huge moments. Namely 2 minutes onwards on the former when Rob sings:

"I keep comin' back, I keep comin' back..."

and when he get's his '2nd wind', shoot that's too much for me!

And the latter, well imagine that playing in a wine bar - it just sets the mood perfectly.

The Boy done did it with this album y'all, the Boy done did it.

Yeah I've had When a Woman Loves on heavy rotation since the Soul Train awards, I loved it beforehand but wasn't playing it too often.

Yeah, I totally agree with what you said here. I've been saying the backdrop of the album is like Sade, but with all these digressions and peaks along the way. The Taxi Cab through to Love Is is such an amazing part of the album and it flows beautifully. I voted Love Is as my favorite just cause K. Michelle really brought it on that track, but the album is growing on me in really big ways. And this MJ tribute released today is a fitting conclusion to the album, putting it into a historical context for such a retro-style album.

Number One Hit grabbed me first and that would be my first fave on the album.

So glad to see you on here, V.I.P!
