It makes me wonder if he's been too prolific these last few years. I mean, we haven't had to wait much longer than a year for a new album from him. Is there a saturation point?
Actually TP-3 came out in August 2005....we didn't get a cd in 2006...so it's been almost 2 years.

Right. But I think if he woulda stayed behind just writing songs for others and wouldn't have performed or appeared in videos for the last 2 years, I mean, with that kind of almost complete break, we'd probably witness more sales gain just from "I really missed you" sentiment.

110K for his second week when popular and "hot" acts like Tpain and Rihanna only scored 70-80K more than that for their DEBUT is huge and is not a SIGNIFICANT drop.

we need to stop thinking about the industry that R.kelly USED to work in and analyze his numbers with todays business.

Longevity is what counts now. They need to release the Same Girl video and get that song rolling again. It entered the charts with such a bang and now it's starting to lose steam.

It's getting old for me too because they waited so long for the video and adding it to radio stations.....actually I haven't even heard it on the radio in a bit.....however, I truly believe once it goes to Pop stations it will climb the charts.

Even if you multiply Rihanna and TPain (POP Musics Royalty) numbers they are still 50K short from R.Kelly 1st numbers!!!!!!!!!

R.Kelly's 2nd Week is outstanding based on Sales for the Industry and the Genre!!!!!!!!!!!!

R.Kelly comes in at 70K units for his third week.

Rihanna and TPain are just about 5K more in their 2ND WEEK.

Even country mega-star Toby Keith (it seems as tho these country stars in the US gross millions and millions of album sales) could only pull in 200K with his debut. Go Kellz at 400k!

That's amazing. It's truly an accomplishment to sell theat many records after three weeks, considering people really dont go out to the store and buy music like they used to.
