It's nice to see him again. But do you think when R Kelly said in the interview I'm not doing this anymore. Did he mean he's not doing showbiz any more???
I see...Im not a fan of these kind of blue screen effects, its kinda dated and way too dark. I want Rob to have videos where he's actually on location, and getting people involved...the last video I really loved was 'Playas Only' (u cud tell he was in Miami), but hopefully those kind of videos will return with time...I wud actually love him to only do videos with Hype Williams like before, but again that is something that wont happen until the whole record company situation is sorted out (if at all).

'Burn It Up', 'Im A Flirt', 'Hairbraider' and now 'Skin' have pretty much all been the same with budgets varying between low and slightly below average...the common theme has been their darkness, and lack of real interaction with others...yes some had more people/girls but overall they all felt like Rob was alone, which maybe reflects his situation at the moment? None of them have that R. Kelly prestige or vibe, and I just wanna see songs which reflect his music fully...before his videos were as great as his songs, admittedly none of the songs I mentioned are classics but the videos cud have improved their mass appeal.

I definitely dont think he meant that he's not doing showbiz anymore, but I wudnt be surprised if he does shy away from the limelight at least for a period.

The premier of this "Skin" video was an UNDERGROUND move and so was "Real Talk" Robert put that directly on Youtude. He don't need a label all he needs is a distributor and a press agent.

    R. Kelly may leave the lime light for a little, just long enough for his contract to run out. He'll kick it in Africa. Dave Chappelle did the same move after he turned down that 50 million Comedy Central deal. When a black artist is thru with the establishment they leave on a soul search until shit cools down.

Yes, this is somewhat of an underground move and I agree it cud be good for Rob to stay out of the limelight while his contract runs out...but long term, I wud like to see him at a major label...obviously one which appreaciates and recognises his greatness though.

Above all that the priority is Rob's happiness, and if he was happy doing his thing with just a distributor and press agent...and he cud have full creative control and his music wud reach as large an audience as possible, then of course I wud support that.

hot video. Kells looks about 30 years old in this. reality being 41, of course. I love how it's so dramatic and deeply sexual. I thought for sure Kells was gonna do a throwaway upbeat video for this, but the dark, serious nature of the video has made me rethink the true feeling of the song. I used to think it was silly, but now this video shows me that Kells is taking things seriously. good for him. 5R video, now a 4R song. brilliant.

and ladies, what are your thoughts?

Wow ...just watched for the first time. It is very creative and different. This video enhances the song for me. Very sexy without being explicit. The ending leaves me wondering if he won't make more continuing the saga. That would be very interesting. Very different and I really like this...much better than Hairbraider to me. Very excited to finally get the released cd and more videos. Go Kellz!

^^I love that it's dark. It's dramatic and serious, which makes me rethink the song completely. This is just what I'd been hoping for from our boy.
