Just be honest. Is it too sexually explicit? What do you think? Doesn't it seem like it's "meant" to be? I don't think R.O.B was in the studio saying, "Let me make sure this album isn't too sexually explicit." Saying no is really doing the album an injustice.

Of course TP stands for 12 Play, and of course that series is all about sex. I don't want the TP series to tone down. I just want him to leave the TP series alone altogether, like I just posted in the other thread, and not drag this classic part of his legacy into a neverending, repetitive farce. Can you at least try to see what I am trying to say?
Yeah, I said all the sex was tiring. And again, I mean it. If something is tiring it means it used to be great and fun and original, but it loses more and more of its appeal and originality, the more it is repeated. Reception shifts from a surprised and fresh "oh no he didn't just say what I think he said" to a bored "uh-huh, so he said that again? I'll try to be shocked later".
So do you now understand the meaning of the word "tiring"? Do you?

And see, the fact that TP-2.COM was such a great sequel is because it didn't just copy the original. It added versatility and depth, he created something new with it. You had songs such as Just Like That and A Woman's Threat, which not only dealt with more interesting issues, but also had a very unique structure in their writing style, as the verses weren't even real sentences. They were just fragments, it was skillful writing.
Then there were songs such as I Decided, I Wish, I Wish - Remix (To The Homies That We Lost), I Don't Mean It, I Mean (I Don't Mean It), The Storm Is Over Now - all these songs deal with deeper issues, and they make the album versatile and balanced. We're talking about 8 out of 18 songs here!

You find nothing of that on the latest leaked sequel to the series. It is not at all versatile, not balanced, not lyrically deep. And for an album to consist only of sex and nothing but sex, like I said, in 1993 that was shocking and groundbreaking, but 15 years later with charts full of candy shop and lollipop songs, tiring is the only word to describe it.

We have to remind ourselves that it is no officially released album, of course. So who knows, if it will be released one day, if there are more songs that bring balance, versatility and depth. But for now, I have to take the leak and pretend it is a real album.

First of all, of course a twelve play album is meant to be all about sex. And I didn't expect anything else from 12Play 4th Quarter even though I had other wishes. I don't have a problem with with explict lyrics in general, otherwise I would've never started listening to R. Kelly.
But I think there are a few examples where took it a little bit too far for my taste. This is the case when the songs seems to get pornographic. One example that's coming to my mind right now is this:
"get your body real open lady" (Strip for you) --> I love that line
"open up your legs girl" (Whole lotta kisses) --> I don't like it
Now, basically he says the same but I hope y'all see the difference. Another thing are these metaphor songs. Don't get me wrong I also posted in the "favourite metaphor thread" that I love some of these songs and they're really fun to listen to at times. But there are so many of them ! We had cars, food, weed, remote comtrols, sweets, planets, animals, and so on. Don't y'all think it gets boring after a while ?
Plus there were lots of songs that are about sex and not deal with metaphors. And if the song is not about getting down in the bedroom directly a lot of them are about being in the club and watch some bitches booty shaking.
Now, as I said I don't have a problems with sexual songs at all but the huge majority of the songs from the last 3 albums had some sexual lines. And at some point this is enough for me and I feel kinda tired. I don't know about the reasons, but it seems to me as if you folks are horny 24/7

As for the poll, I do not vote. On the one hand I think it is not too sexual, cause a 12Play album is meant to be. It's maybe too explict here and there. But not enough to vote "yes" for me. And since this thread is made for me to vote with "yes" I won't vote "no" and keep it to myself.

Lol, like I said in another post:

TP series is a sexual series since LP Nį1 ...so we know that will be more explicit than Chocolate Factory, R, or R.Kelly.

thats life..but maybe over where you are from they are not into that...just like i recently found out that over in Africa..oral sex isnt practiced due to their culture and they only do missionary position...and many africans i work with think its disgusting...but like i told some of my female co-workers, who are from Africa..there sex lives have been boring....but here in America...sex sells...
Psychopaths have a Hidden Content and grossly inflated view of their own Hidden Content and importance, a truly astounding egocentricity and sense of entitlement, and see themselves as the center of the universe, justified in living according to their own rules.

Psychopaths show a stunning lack of concern for the effects their actions have on others, no matter how devastating these might be. They may appear completely forthright about the matter, calmly stating that they have no sense of guilt, are not sorry for the ensuing pain, and that there is no reason now to be concerned.

Many of the characteristics displayed by psychopaths are closely associated with a profound lack of empathy and inability to construct a mental and emotional "facsimile" of another person.

Psychopaths seem to suffer a kind of emotional poverty that limits the range and depth of their feelings. At times they appear to be cold and unemotional while nevertheless being prone to dramatic, shallow, and short-lived displays of feeling.
Obligations and commitments mean nothing to psychopaths.

But here is the crux: Psychopaths don't feel they have psychological or emotional problems, and they see no reason to change their behavior to conform with societal standards they do not agree with.

It's not too explicit and the 12 Plays are meant to be sexual. That was the point. And the is what attracted many of his fans in the first place. I will never forget the first time I heard people talking about 12 Play (the song) and cd. And with each installment he just continued the tradition. It works because that is not all he is about. Kells works both extremes well...from sexual to spiritual/inspirational. Probably the reason he is called on the sexual nature of his music so much. I think it makes people uncomfortable that he is able to express both sides of himself so well.

I wasn't trying to say that I or Germans in general are not into oral sex Like Big Dan said we are into too. What I meant was the way the describes it, because this:
"get your body real open lady" (Strip for you) and this:
"open up your legs girl" (Whole lotta kisses)
    are about the same thing.
Just the way he expresses it is different.

Taking away Kells sexin' tracks is like taking away an engine from a car, taking the fizz out of soda, taking faith from a pastor....

I can maybe see why people could be board with Kells sexual metaphor tracks but his direct sexual tracks!? Oh please!....why dont you sign a petition to chop the mans balls off! lol....I mean if you are tired of Kells & his explicit lyrics/heavy sexual content then I have got news for you....on his next album he is gonna be sexual, on the album after that he is gonna be sexual, on the album after that guess what? he is gonna get sexual! Kells & sex go hand in hand....& that will never, ever, ever change of that I am certain

And if anything, he is gonna get even more freaky now than he has ever been following his legal issues being out of the way....back in the 90's he broke down walls with his explicit content but nowadays it is more acceptable to an extent....dont be surprised to see Kells raise the bar on a sexual front in the coming years...

I know what you're trying to point out, he basically says the things more directly now. But I like everything he says how he says doesn't matter for me.
