All I have to say is - WOW. I love it. Kellz really opened up. I love how he spoke about Drea and their kids. Very touching!

got my book today from barnes and nobles and they are really wack

back when the book was due to drop i asked them to save me a copy they said cool, then fast forward a couple off days later they said it was delayed and that it was due the following week and that 4 were coming in and i said cool and they took my cell number and also told me when to call,

anyway this barnes and nobles is a trip because over in the music section the new freddie mercury book which wasn't due to be out until after the 4th was out almost two weeks prior to it being offically released this barnes and nobles where i shop did this years back when Quincy Jones's book was due and it was put out two weeks prior and I'm like what about the R Kelly book?

finally today after i left church i went in there and asked about it, i asked this chick that worked there outside and she said she didn't know, finally the sales clerk was like they should have told you we got the books on friday the 13nth and the warehouse didn't order enough copys sounds familiar with his albums of late? hint hint

anyway got into the book and its a great read and it took alot of staying on barnes and nobles to get them turkeys to get the book.

Busted, disgusted and couldn't be trusted was something else on page 168.

dug that meeting with Barry hankerson with the demo tape and the boom box,etc..

hearing about Robert Jr in the studio could that mean another dynasty? watch out if Robert Jr is handling the instruments and able to write even half as good as his pops.

the music junkie in me loves the stories.

Received my book today via Amazon.com. Took 2 days to get it from the US to The Netherlands (payed more for shipment and handling than for the book itself but I had to get it). Will start reading from today.

I read the book in about 4 days. Couldn't put it down. So much that I learned. I really enjoyed the parts with Michael Jackson and Muhammad Ali. What he did for MA to honor Sam Cooke was truly incredible. MA and Sam were good friends.

With this book and new album, I feel spoiled. I'm getting too much R. Kelly. I've been a fan for 17 years and he just amazes me more than ever. I wish his mom had been a witness to more than just his first album. Her son is a damn musical genius.

Finally got the book yesterday and my first reaction was of course shouting "Yay!" in Korean.
Right after having dinner, I started reading for about good 2 hours.
I was so absorbed into it, it felt like I was being transported to another place, which is what I feel with some other books.
Didn't read the whole text line by line cuz my inner voice was telling me "More! Faster!" and I wasn't tied up.

I might leave a short review later, but right now I can say this much
: Overall, I feel that the book is not written in a boastful way.
Having your memoir published is boastful in itself, but the content doesn't really um....ooze none of that, IMO.
If the text was mostly about his triumphs peppered with self-righteous tone, not humble one, that would be a turn-off for me, even as a fan.
