    Exactly. I don't get it.

I was gonna ramble and say how bitterly disappointed I am with this tracklisting but then I stopped and decided to shut my mouth and wait to hear the album before making a judgement.

But if I hear another 'Double Up' type of album damn sure I'm gonna talk then... cuz, seriously Rob, this is not the time for another 'Double Up'.

    I'm waiting.

It was a song that he used to perform on the "Key In Ignition Tour" back in 2003. Seemingly everyone who heard him perform it says it is classic but as yet we are yet to hear it on an album.

It may look funny some body else producing Kellz, but the truth of the matter is, any producer would be honored to get the chance to work with him.....We may have not heard of them, but they are blessed non the less if this is true...........I heard some of the songs on Power 92, and it was on and popping so all we can do it just wait................look at all the people Kellz has helped and produced.....Ms. Houston for example..............

I have not seen it yet but if Kells have other producers writing some of the songs it is for a reason.

I think that Kells just wanted to try some new things with this album. He wanted to hear some other production other than his own and I still think this album will sound great. Kells didnt produce EVERY song on Double Up and then ones that were by other producers sounded good behind his vocals. I have no problem with someone producing for Kells just as long as its HOT R and B! Now it would be a TOTALLTY DIFFERENT story if he had people writing an entire song for him! Keri tried to do it with the original Number One demo and despite how good her verses were for him he still went and wrote his own damn verses because thats who R. Kelly is. I know that it may disappoint some of us that he chose to let some producers do majority of the album but as long as the beats are smooth and KELLS is writing his own music it will still be hot. I do however still believe there are going to be changes to this tracklist and Kells will add a couple more tracks.

You know what, I've been down with this fam' for a number of years. Dating way back to the ORIGINAL board. Y'all know who you are and y'all know who I am. I don't post much on here cuz of time constraints and what-not, but please give me some time to get some shit up off my chest...

First of all, we are all big fans of Kelly. If we were not, we would not participate in an open forum like what we have here right now.

Second. Although we may be "fanatics" of Kelly as an artist and musician, let's not forget that he is in the "entertainment industry" which is also under the "music industry." He has full creative control as an artist, but at the same time he has to "please" his record label, manager, a&r, etc... His job is to create good music for his fans. The label's job is to market and promote his work to the people. At the end of the day he has to sell records and keep/gain listenters/buyers.

NONE of us have heard the new album and there have already been assumptions that the LP will be whack because he didn't produce every song. Really??? Are you guys f*ckin' serious!?!?!? You're going to judge what the album will sound like based on what you read??? C'mon! Wake up and smell the coffee! Real talk. I know we all want EVERYTHING R. KELLY ALL THE TIME, but the business has changed dramatically over the last few years.

All I am trying to say is: let's wait 'til the actual album drops before we make any conclusions to what it will be. I totally understand what y'all are saying. "Why isn't he producing his own music?" "Who are these no-names?" and etc...

Y'all have to think about it like this... Let's be THANKFUL that Kelly is still in the game and still able to make GREAT music. There is not one other artist from his generation that has been able to "keep up with the times" or be "relevant" like this. Name me ONE artist that has been able to stay "up to date" and make music the way Kelly does. I know that we want the original 12 Play Kelly, but hey! It's 2009 and 12 Play is OVER! Yeah, the TP-2's and 3's and 4th quarter were cool and everything, but as an artist Kelly is evolving and growing. Who else can make a club record, gospel record, steppers record, pop record, neo-soul record, and HOT DAMMIT the list can go on... But let's keep it real people! These "up and coming" producers and songwriters FEEL privelidged to be on Kelly's album. They're working with a LEGEND. The MAN. The KING of R&B! Remember when Kelly found out that he was going to be working with Michael Jackson??? Do you know how ecstatic he was? Michael's "comeback" album with a song from "R&B up and comer: R. Kelly." I watched the interview LIVE on ABC in 1995! I have heard Kelly's demo of "You Are Not Alone." He was so excited to be working with the King of Pop. He even said it was like a dream come true.

So these young cats that are working with Kelly, they deserve some credit. The label and Kelly himself have approved of the songs. So think about that for a change. Kelly has more recorded music than ANYBODY in the game today. If you pick up this album and decide that you don't like it, guess what? He's going to drop another one shortly.

At the end of the day Kelly is making music for US!!! His REAL FANS. All of us are his "Number ONE fans!" Believe that! He's released an album every other year or so since 1998. Who else in R&B has done that??? If he has company, how successful are they compared to Kelly?

I really want to know if you would be so judgemental on this album if what we saw was JUST the "tracklisting" without the "producers" showing... Think about that for a minute? Hmm...

Small short resume of a few of those producers

    Lil Ronnie (I'm A Flirt)
Chris "Deep" Henderson (Blame It - Jamie Foxx...enough said)
Jazzy Pha (One song he did sounded similar to R. Kelly production that was good was David Banner's - Fucking well established producer he also produced one of my favorite Aaliyah songs - Come Over)
    Infinity (Unknown)
Los Da Mystro (He did numerous hits for Dream so he's certified)
    T-Town (Unknown)
Jack Splash (Alicia Keys Wreckless Love, Teenage Love Affair)
Baby I never meant to clip your wings, Now I'm wishing you could fly right back to me. - R. Kelly
