On the Michael Baisden show they raved about R. Kelly the entire 4 hours. George Wilborn is friends with R. Kelly and I remember when Rob was acquitted and George saying how he was glad and Michael Baisden mentioned that people spent too much unnecessary energy on that situation and he doesn't have anything against him, he just doesn't play his music because it doesn't fit the format of his show. I thought to myself, how does the King of R&B not fit your formatting. Rob has so much versatility, you can surely find something to play but oh, I was ELATED today to hear Michael Baisden eating crow and saying how Rob is truly the King of R&B - hands down. He also mentioned how that was the best opening performance on an awards show that he's EVER seen and I have to agree with him.
WHO IS MICHAEL BAISDEN? Sorry I dont think i know who he is

Best live performance he's ever done. I wasn't even expecting him to blow me away like he did. But he was superb (and I don't even use that word). He's on such a high now I just hope that his album doesn't dissapoint. It's not about the sales. It's the quality.

I did question whether he was sisnging live alot while watching. But I think there was an issue with the synching or something because alot of the singers sounded as if they were lip-synching.

When a Woman Loves (the original song) is definitely live, and that is the most outstanding part of the whole performance IMO. The way he hit them notes...

Michael Baisden is a nationally syndicated radio show host here in the US. Which brings me to this, Tom Joyner, Steve Harvey, and now Michael Baisden have really applauded Rob. Those are the big 3 nationally syndicated black/urban radio stations. I don't listen to Russ Parr so I'm sure he's probably still hating all of these years later but it's really a positive vibe going on now. Michael Baisden also raved on about Rob sounding awesome and looking good. He said Rob looks like he's about to do serious damage (meaning he's really about to takeover music again).

Exactly. I'm not sure why people are being thrown off by the lip synching but's it's obvious to me that he wanted that part (the remix) to go as seamless as possible because of the choreography. Keep in mind he had just sung the hell out of WAWL and the beginning to Bump N Grind.

Yup. He sung Bump N' Grind, Your Body is Calling, When a Woman's Fed Up and Happy People live to a backing track. When a Woman Loves (original) is the best part of the whole performance because he was so into it and it showed vocally. WAWL mix was lipped, though. He was dancing and moving a lot so it was only reasonable that it was.

Michael and his co-host also referred to R. as the King of R&B
