Default R. Kelly NOT scheduled for Selma festivities

Add Lady Gaga and R. Kelly to the list of names appearing in Selma this weekend.

The pair, along with Rick Ross, will be headlining a concert Saturday following President Barack Obama's speech in Selma.
Others playing Saturday include The Impressions, T.I., Young Breezy, We Are Toonz, Toia Jones and Big Robb.
The show, which is advertised as being at the "Hip Hop, R&B and Blues Stage," begins at 2 p.m. and tickets are $12 in advance and $20 at the door.
A BET concert was announced for Sunday evening that is also scheduled to feature Rick Ross as well as Aloe Blacc, Flava Flav, India.Arie and Tamar Braxton, among others.
The weekend commemorates the 50th anniversary of what's become known as "Bloody Sunday" - the day when state troopers attacked marchers as they tried to cross the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma on their way to Montgomery to demand voting rights for African-Americans.
BET and Centric will present "Centric Salutes Selma" on Sunday from the Edmund Pettis Bridge. The concert, hosted by AJ Calloway, will be streamed on bet.com and centrictv.com. Harry Belafonte and Peter Yarrow will be in attendance.

Other acts scheduled to appear Sunday: Angie Stone, Arrested Development, Bebe Winans, Bell Biv DeVoe, Blind Boys of Alabama, D-Nice, DeWayne Woods, Donnie McClurkin, Doug E. Fresh, Eddie Levert, Eric Benet, Estelle, Keith Sweat, Kelly Price, Kirk Franklin, MC Lyte, Tank, Tramaine Hawkins, Tyrese, Vanilla Ice and Virtue as well as Bill Bellamy, Bill Withers, Cicely Tyson, Gary Owen, John Salley, Malcolm Jamal Warner, Tom Joyner and more.

Sunday's event is free and is listed as "standing room only – first come, first serve."
The weekend concerts in Selma will join the previously announced "Dream Marches On" show at Alabama State University in Montgomery featuring headliner Patti LaBelle. Luke Wade, who was a contestant on NBC's "The Voice," will open with his band No Civilians.

The "Dream Marches On" concert at the Dunn-Oliver Acadome at ASU will be at 8:30 p.m. Saturday.
The commemoration and concert is sponsored by ASU, the City of Montgomery and the Montgomery County Commission. Tickets for the concert are $35 in advance and $45 the day of the show. Tickets are available through ticketreturn.com or by calling the ASU ticket office at 334-229-4551.
Psychopaths have a Hidden Content and grossly inflated view of their own Hidden Content and importance, a truly astounding egocentricity and sense of entitlement, and see themselves as the center of the universe, justified in living according to their own rules.

Psychopaths show a stunning lack of concern for the effects their actions have on others, no matter how devastating these might be. They may appear completely forthright about the matter, calmly stating that they have no sense of guilt, are not sorry for the ensuing pain, and that there is no reason now to be concerned.

Many of the characteristics displayed by psychopaths are closely associated with a profound lack of empathy and inability to construct a mental and emotional "facsimile" of another person.

Psychopaths seem to suffer a kind of emotional poverty that limits the range and depth of their feelings. At times they appear to be cold and unemotional while nevertheless being prone to dramatic, shallow, and short-lived displays of feeling.
Obligations and commitments mean nothing to psychopaths.

But here is the crux: Psychopaths don't feel they have psychological or emotional problems, and they see no reason to change their behavior to conform with societal standards they do not agree with.

I'm so glad he has been invited to such an event. He has so many inspirational songs to choose from. I wonder what he will sing?

CORRECTION: Despite earlier reports, neither Lady Gaga nor R. Kelly will perform in Selma this weekend for the commemorative event. The singer’s publicist confirmed that this was never booked and “100% not true.” Al.com, which originally reported the news, now quotes the executive director of the Selma to Montgomery 50th Commemoration Foundation saying, “They [Gaga and R. Kelly] are not confirmed but tentative.” According to Billboard, a rep for Gaga confirmed her team has issued a cease-and-desist notice to the Alabama promoter.
