The biggest competition is probably,...Robert Glasper. The album's got many positive reviews, as far as I've seen.
I agree, the list looks good. So happy I don't see Rihana's or Chris Brown's.

Me too. Or better yet, he performs a song or two right before being called up to the stage.

the man has been robbed of grammy wins for years. he always gets nominated and they never give the man his due. tell me how Beyonce has 14 grammys or so and alicia keys has 13 and Rob has only 3 despite his impact and more importantly important albums for 2 different decades?

i mean 12 play self title album, tp2, chocolate factory , happy people, love letter those albums IMO should have the man with about 12 grammys alone, but you know the game is fixed and funny time.

how many acts from 20 years back are still getting nominated? how many acts from 10 years or 5 years ago are still getting nominations,etc...??

all because of Kelly not winning, award shows have been done for me. no way in hell he shouldnt win that Grammy in that category. I liked the Glasper album but not better than Write Me Back. what a travesty that would be to lose to either those albums

update Sunday's 55th Grammys- Will Rob be snubbed again?

Now, I can only speak for myself personally but I hate watching the Grammys because of the corruption. We recently had a thread about this not too long ago but now the time has come again to see if Rob will be stiffed once more. We need to stop lying to ourselves and saying we don't care anymore because we do, and I have a real concern about the outcome of this year's Grammys. After hearing Robert Glasper "Black Radio", it makes me a little nervous about how these people will decide. Can't deny it, this album is nice/different and that's what they're looking for but it's not necessarily better than "Write Me Back" to me. They're 2 different types of albums. According to USA today "Write Me Back" is projected to win but it's only a prediction, but some critics are saying "Black Radio" should win because of the fusion of Jazz, Hip hop,& R&B. My question is what are your honest expectations of the results on Sunday or do you not care at all? Will you watch?

At this point, I truly don't care. Same goes for many other awards like AMA, VMA, BET, etc.
What I really care about is how he can have bigger tours and rake in the dough, how his brand can be updated, how his music can stay fresh and new --- basically, more....,I'd say, tangible(?), practical aspects of his career.
If he wins this year, it will certainly make me feel good, but that's about it.

P.S. Long time no see. Hopefully you can post more often from now on.

for those who might not know...the category that kells was nominated in isn't even gonna be televised ....
Psychopaths have a Hidden Content and grossly inflated view of their own Hidden Content and importance, a truly astounding egocentricity and sense of entitlement, and see themselves as the center of the universe, justified in living according to their own rules.

Psychopaths show a stunning lack of concern for the effects their actions have on others, no matter how devastating these might be. They may appear completely forthright about the matter, calmly stating that they have no sense of guilt, are not sorry for the ensuing pain, and that there is no reason now to be concerned.

Many of the characteristics displayed by psychopaths are closely associated with a profound lack of empathy and inability to construct a mental and emotional "facsimile" of another person.

Psychopaths seem to suffer a kind of emotional poverty that limits the range and depth of their feelings. At times they appear to be cold and unemotional while nevertheless being prone to dramatic, shallow, and short-lived displays of feeling.
Obligations and commitments mean nothing to psychopaths.

But here is the crux: Psychopaths don't feel they have psychological or emotional problems, and they see no reason to change their behavior to conform with societal standards they do not agree with.
