I'm not holding my breath. His not going to win. The nomination is nice and I'm glad he is being recognized for his work but it will most likely go to someone who is popular. The Grammys is a popularity contest.

Really surprised by this, I was certain they would snub him. Brilliant news

He should definitely get an award for Love Letter. The competition is quite strong in the Best R&B Song category though.

I already knew they would nominate him... it's another thing to actually win the award

Its a Blessing he got nominated but he better win and not get snub because its very obvious his competition is not really competition for these awards.

I think he has a very strong chance to win Best R&B album. The other nominees didn't receive even half the critical praise Love Letter did. Chris Brown was clearly thrown in to add variety and to fill the space. I think El Debarge might be the only competition in that category.

The Roots or Cee-lo will take the Traditional award. I'd be surprised if R. wins that award since he was snubbed last year in that category for 'When a Woman Loves'.

I hope he wins both awards though.

i bet when kellz gets older they will start to give him make up awards, because we know they have ignored him badly for years
    Yea, I agree.

nice & all but I doubt if he'll win. like we have said, the award shows are a popularity contest & not about the context of the music necessarily. not sure how many units CB moved but i'm sure he'll take that category since it was "more popular." i'll be pleasantly suprised & happy for Rob if he wins.

Love Letter should win a grammy. He has been snubbed in the past, but its time he gets his due. I understand that the grammys are a bit controversial and a bit of a poularity contest, but Love letter was a game changer!!!The music industry has been in a bit of a downward spiral in terms of quality, rob could have easily written a top ten smash on the billboard charts, i mean he has more hits than anyone. But instead rob goes into the studio and writes a timeless masterpiece. Music that is so above and beyond incredible critics and radio stations wont know what to do. Now back in the days WAWL would have been No. 1, but times have changed. But what WAWL and the album did was more than register high on the charts. R, kelly went against the norm in todays industry, and got people to focus on quality and got everyone( casual fans, die hard fans, haters, music critics) to notice. Love letter has sold very well, better than most people. Hell there are artists with number one hits that cant sell half of what love letter did. Love Letter is alnost platinum anbd is still selling. The people who have purchased or listened to the album have spoken. On Amazon where anyone can write a review has over 300 reviews of the album, and its average rating is 5 outta 5 stars. That is truly incredible. Kellz has always been an inovator and a game changer and he certainly has done that with Love Letter. Love Letter should win a grammy. But if it doesnt it may have done more for the music industry on a larger scale than most people will ever realize. Quality can still matter, and Love Letter is a musical statement to that. Thanks Rob and congratulations!!-

Are either of these presented at the main grammy ceremony or that pre-show one?

    I don't think so. They don't care about R&B.
