whatever Innocent until proven guilty/LET THE DRAMA BEGIN

Yes, I have heard R. Kelly's Double Up Tour called the To Catch a Predator Tour.
It is insensitive and it's not true. Kelly has not been convicted of any sex crimes. But people are people and that's what some of them are saying.
All week there have been reported sightings of Kelly and/or his entourage -- they apparently came to Columbus several days early. To chill? To get away? Who knows. But Kelly and bodyguards were spotted at Peachtree Mall, and Kelly also shot some hoops in the area.

It's a big deal that the tour is kicking off in "I'll wait until the day of the concert to buy my tickets" Columbus, Ga. Maybe this is a giant dress rehearsal, but it's a hot tour.

A somewhat angry caller, whose mind is already made up about Kelly, equates the Supreme Court's ordered release of Genarlow Wilson from prison with Columbus allowing Kelly to perform at the Columbus Civic Center.
Granted, videotapes are involved in both instances, but the cases are far from identical.

Footage showed a 17-year-old Wilson receiving consensual oral sex from a 15-year-old-girl. It was that act that resulted in Wilson's mandatory 10-year-sentence. He served 32 months.
Part of the problem so many people had with Wilson's prosecution is that the law was not intended for the prosecution of minors.
Kelly was 30-something when he allegedly made a sex tape with an underage girl.

The caller, upset about Kelly's pending charges, got some of the information wrong. That's not unusual. When we're angry, we act and react -- if we're not careful. After listening to the voicemail, I went looking for updated information on the status of the case.
A Nov. 4 article in the Chicago Tribune reports some recent problems faced by prosecutors:

"The judge in the R. Kelly child pornography case ruled Friday that a key prosecution expert will not be able to offer a theory as to why the girl in the case has denied that she is the victim.
"Kelly, 40, is facing charges for allegedly videotaping himself having sex with an underage girl. Prosecutors have said the girl could have been as young as 13 at the time. He faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted.
"Kelly has denied the allegations. The girl in question, who is now in her early 20s, has said she is not the person in the tape and has testified as such before a grand jury."

The case has been going on for some years now, and there's no end in sight. Meanwhile, the man is entitled to earn a living.

Psychopaths have a Hidden Content and grossly inflated view of their own Hidden Content and importance, a truly astounding egocentricity and sense of entitlement, and see themselves as the center of the universe, justified in living according to their own rules.

Psychopaths show a stunning lack of concern for the effects their actions have on others, no matter how devastating these might be. They may appear completely forthright about the matter, calmly stating that they have no sense of guilt, are not sorry for the ensuing pain, and that there is no reason now to be concerned.

Many of the characteristics displayed by psychopaths are closely associated with a profound lack of empathy and inability to construct a mental and emotional "facsimile" of another person.

Psychopaths seem to suffer a kind of emotional poverty that limits the range and depth of their feelings. At times they appear to be cold and unemotional while nevertheless being prone to dramatic, shallow, and short-lived displays of feeling.
Obligations and commitments mean nothing to psychopaths.

But here is the crux: Psychopaths don't feel they have psychological or emotional problems, and they see no reason to change their behavior to conform with societal standards they do not agree with.

It's good to see someone in the media staying sane and balanced when it comes to R. Kelly.

Right, and if it bothers us, imagine how he feels. Even though he says he has his sheild up, and really does rise above, it has to hurt.

I think the man has an incredible ability to compartmentalize. It reminds me of what Clinton went through during the Monica Lewinsky drama. He can focus on what's at hand and block out everything else. I wouldn't doubt it does hurt at times, but he's been through so much and he's still standing tall.

Tru dat. But some people needs to learn how to keep it to themselves and get a life. That's come to show how jealous, underhanded, and ignorant they are because they not out there gettin' their shine on. They can say what they want about Kellz, but he is NOT listening to none of that false shit! Innocent until proven guilty. PERIOD!
R. Kelly is the KING of all Kings of R&B. PERIOD!!!!
