Record sales are down overall as well... Not too many artists are selling anything... I don't think B-Bay outsold Double Up, I don't go by charts. Those are media hype and propaganda, I usually ask someone I know in the record industry. Kellz can't be denied because he has sold more records this year than most other artists.

Soundscan says that Justin has sold more than 3mil records. It also says that BDay is in the mid to high 2mil range. Nielsen Soundscan...you know...as in a trusted, retail data collection agency that oversees the purchase and shipments of all records (and other forms of media) and is used the the RIAA and other organizations to certify awards and sales. I trust them. Or at least if there is ANYONE to trust, its them. Nielsen is a worldwide accountability firm.

No business will publish their actual numbers... Unless you have inside information or you have access to their tax returns, they can say anything in the media they want to. If people believe a record is doing well, chances are they will want it, if they think everyone else has it and they don't. It's a marketing tatic and its very effective.

Justin and Beyonce have sold alot of records in comparison to the number of records sold in the last year. But in comparison to lets say Beyonce to maybe Whitney Houston or Madonna to Justin Timberlake, then neither one of them has sold shit.

One of Whitney Houstons albums has sold more copies than all of Beyonce's combined... So Beyonce may have sold as many records as R Kelly this year, but I don't believe B-Day sold more copies than Double Up, I don't care where you got your info. That's why R. Kelly was nominated.

R Kelly is a hot product... Sold legally or illegally. I bet Kellz probadly bootlegs his own shit.

Justin and B's numbers have no where to go but up. Very predictable. I would have gotten VERY worried (along with JT/B and their companies) if one of them didnt hit 2mil. The industry loves them and it doesnt get any more pop than these two.

R.Kelly IS HOT product. R.Kelly can do no harm and he can do no wrong. Anything he does people are going to talk about and buy. Even with all the negative publicity Kellz can still sell tickets, CDs and videos/radio play at the drop of a hat. He is Jive's cash register. Even with Double Up, thats a good CD but not a GREAT CD, they shipped more than a million units in the US alone! Imagine if it were a classic album? He doesnt even have to try anymore...

i ain't stuttured and I know how Dick clark rolls and operates. I had a couple of friends and a Family friend who is like a Uncle to me who worked out there and I got the 411 directly on how Mr.Dick Clark operates. I know how the Grammys work.

you need to stop trying to tell folks who know some of this shit directly. FYI if it was based on sales alone then Sad to say R.kelly wouldn't be seeing any nomination because, Beyonce and Timberlake's albums both dropped over a year ago and Beyonce is close to 3 million copies when you factor in the re-release and Timberlake is at 3.5 plus Million, well going by last year basis then Akon would get that third spot because he as well is in the same sales boat overall as them.

R.Kelly is respected by Dick clark and his people period. I ain't gonna break you down to the game because you never show no respect, but I'll say this, if Dick clark wants you to Win, then you win and if he doesn't want to win then you don't. if they want you nominated then you are and if they don't want you nominated then you aren't.

your'e right dude. though Soundscan ain't been in the Hood and they do round off numbers. for instance Justin will be rounded off to 4 million copies maybe a 5 certification in Billboard as part of the shipment and expectations of sales, but he has sold 3.5 million copies and had alot of hits and for the Record Barry Wesis and the Jive Brass are kissing his Ass as we speak right now. sad to say.

Beyonce is pushing close to 3 Million copies. she is around deep 2.5 and beyond.

these two albums had a healthy 3-4 singles and videos pushed off there Respective Projects. I wasn't feeling either album too tight, but to deny there success and whatnot is just to be in denial.

    whatever Still naive...

You both are still naive... If R Kelly didn't sell enough records believe me Dick Clark probadly would kick him to the curb... Ramble if you want too, I don't drop names or say who I know.

I won't argue because I already know that I am right, so it really doesn't matter.

well Beyonce's album did get off to a slow start. the first cut with Jay Z didn't do much and ring the alarm almost backfired the project. it wasn't until they put out slow cuts that flipped that Project. the Neyo cut flipped that Project.

Timberlake has the Brass in his back pocket. he has the money behind him,the powers that be want him. he gets at least 5 or more singles released and videos. alot of budget and push. problem is Jive and the industry wants him to be a White Michael Jackson with that kind of impact but he ain't got that "IT". he can't keep up with Usher. but Timberlake is steady, but this is as good as he will ever be IMO.

you are in denial as usual and you'd be surprised at what i know.

but since you are so hip then tell everybody in here the role that John Mcclain played in R.Kelly's Career back in 02? if you know your shit then you already know what Mcclain did for R.Kelly. of course you know John mcclain over at dreamworks working with the Isley brothers and being Excutive Producer on there albums. do educate and you have the floor.

if you don't know then fall back and listen.

and again I know how Dick clark rolls. a album that sells 850,000 copies compared to two other albums that are triple Platinum? Dick Clark has love for Kellz period. if he didn't think much about R then he wouldn't have had him put in the Pop category against his peers.

you are so laughable it ain't even funny.

The whole list don't look pretty at all. Whether he wins or not, he's been the biggest winner among them all. He's got to have some quality peers instead of the ones he's got now.
