If you listen to Kelly's earlier work(s) you'll notice that most, if not all of his songs have that "extended" mix kind of feeling. Like there's so much more of the song, but he fades it out. It's kinda like he's teasing us, or something.

I remember listening to his first LP with Public Announcement back in the cassette days, you know, before I had a cd player! Well, I would listen to it over, and over, and over, and over and I would always listen to the end of his songs, cuz that's where he would "take it to church" and go off, vocally. The runs, the riffs, etc... it was absolutely amazing because nobody was doing that. And that was back in the early '90's! As of 2007, I don't know of too many people doing that right now besided Kelly.

Well, back then they recorded on tape and DAT. Now a days it's all digital and processed without reels n' what not so they don't sing/sang like they used to. I know some of y'all know what I'm talking 'bout... Real talk!

I know I have a long list but from his latest album, The Champ comes to mind. I would've loved another minute or two of Kellz dismissing the haters. It's become one of my favorite intros.

Real talk!!!I don't know much about technical aspects you mentioned, but yea kinda know what you're talkin bout. Even as a non-professional person, I can hear many singers nowadays don't sing with that rawness that you pointed out. Oh my...sometimes even when they can do! I won't talk about studio wonders. Downside of improved technology....Like Soulful said yeah, Slow Dance. And Dedicated as well.

Unfortunately it fades away right after that. I think that end could've been longer.
Came back here after listening to the song thinkin about your point. I agree. I didn't think about it before, but yeah. Gone too soon. He keeps it smooth all through the previous parts, and when the sound begins to get strong and intense, it fades away quickly. Many songs off U Saved Me album go like that.

I love the remix of "This is why I'm hot by kellz" ! I would like a complete song, not just a verse
"this is why, this is why I'm Kellz!!"
