It's funny you ask this question because I have really been pumping "U Saved Me" for the last 4 months. I especially love all of the tracks --- they are all so beautifully written and produced. I love "How Did You Manage". I can't help but "repeat" this song at least 10 times in a row - no exaggeration before moving on to the rest of the CD. This CD is such a touching one --- it shows his vulnerability and his spirituality. I love this side of Robert.

I love the production more than the songwriting. I'm not religious; maybe that's why. But the songs "Spirit" (which was originally the first track on the Loveland album) and "Peace" are the two best songs on the album.

The Happy People album is better, though, I think. It's Kells singing about LOVE, which we haven't really heard from him in a while. The best tracks on there are "Ladies' Night," "If I Could Make the World Dance," "If," and "Happy People."

I love the songwriting. Production is on point because it lets the lyrics and melodies do their thing. Kells' inspirational/church joints have always been my faves. The first 3 songs on the disc are insane. I SURRENDER is crazy too.
If Kells only did one genre/type of music for the rest of his career, this should be it.

I like the songwriting the best, because i like songs where i can relate myself in it from things that happend or happen in my own life. My favorite song of it is Prayer Changes because its so true, and its a very hope giving song in bad times my 2nd favorite is U saved me, that was the only song i had ever heard from anyone that could be so touching, it was like watching a sad movie with a good end in it.
This is really my favorite album from Kellz.

The production is tight but I gotta go with the songwriting. This album is so full of message and deep lyrics. The melodies are nice (some of them great), but to me what really makes this album so special is the stories behind the words.

It's basically the process of putting the song together as a whole. From arranging for the musicians to sit in to explaining to them what exactly they want them to play (and how). The producer oversees the writing, recording and arrangement of a track, and usually the mastering process too. They also have a big say on what they think works and doesn't work in a song.

That being said, I think I liked the songwriting on the U Saved Me the most. I liked the lyrics in songs like Prayer Changes and U Saved Me a lot.

I think this body of work was more about melodies and lyrics rather then outstanding production......but as anything with kellz.....its on point
