    when i ain't feeling then yeah it needs to be said for me;

tp3 aside from a few songs was just ok to me

    double up same thing

    untitled as well

then some of the colabs were just kinda there IMo from 07-09

    the mix tape was aight.

didn't care much for the autotone stuff.

when he is singing/sanging writing at his best and bringing it the best then it is on.

gotta be real and when he does run of the mill material than it hurts his cause.

though Trey Songz ain't showing me much, he did speak the truth IMO because Kellz was putting out some hit and miss stuff that alot of it was beneath him.

love letter got folks feeling that soul and depth, he can do the club tracks after we get the money tracks.

i know Kellz is bored with just doing the same ole same because the politics of the industry ain't gonna budget him doing a full scale Project.

when he works with snoop and Young Jeezy I was cool with that

    but working with Bow wow?Naw

working with acts that don't bring anything is just a waste of talent and tracks IMO.

the projects with Jay Z alone which were just ok IMO, are proof that while a few tracks are cool, making a whole project just doesn't work

    and then with Baby williams.

he can do all styles of music, however just bring the good stuff and leave the sideline stuff where it is at.

I totally agree...I'm not a big Trey fan but he was right, however, he went overboard by talking about him to magazines and even radio stations here in Chicago...anyway...I'm a hard critic on kellz myself but I hate when he makes songs like "When a woman loves" and ppl my age are quick to say he fell off, of course that's until he makes something they like...lol I just hope he does the 12 play album justice...I think jive will support/promote him better this time around.

Right Trey was speaking real talk. But like you said he took it too far. Then he started to use that shit as a promotional tool like 50 Cent & Game that's why I was pissed at him for a second. But I co-sign Mistermaxx. First listen of TP.3 I was like what the fuck is going on here. Cause I was young and I was getting use to CF/HP R. Kelly. But I got my pleasure out of the album after a few listens. TITC and a few weak tracks dumbed down that album that had it's fair share of decent songs that kept me satisfied until Double Up. I rarely even listen to Double Up anymore. But at the time it was a good album cause I understood what he was trying to do. Even though it's one of his weakest albums up to date he still gave us a few traditional Kells songs. Features sucked but it was ok for the time period. Untitled was a good album imo too. It basically had no direction just alot of songs he threw together which is why it's Untitled. Now Tongues was hella wack but even his wackess tracks still are catchy. Supaman High had me pissed but then it grew on me because it's one of those wack ass songs that is catchy lol. If the song was for someone else it would've been more acceptable but for R. Kelly it's wack because we know he can get really get down on his pen game when he wants to

I'm sorry but regardless of trey songz being "right" or not, I still view him as a whiny little bitch in need of a steering wheel. Hidden Content

i stand by what i said earlier. I think, or at least I would hope, that any and all criticism we give Kells on this site comes from a good, honest place within ourselves and not an angry one.

its all about the love and respect of the artist Genius of R.Kelly. though he has made songs i avoid and don't evne play.

the last 3 albums plus unfinished business were just all ok to me period.

the mix tape was just ok.

he is basically working for hire with Jive/sony now because he is just given up tracks he has sitting around to appese them when we get uneven albums.

the bonus material on love letter was just a throw away, not bad, however it was just to get it out as bonus material.

corny club tracks and half done tracks have passed off and it leaves things hit and miss.

but Love Letter is a great return to form.

like I said Trey Songz speaking as a fan IMO was right, however as a fellow artist and you are still doing 2nd and 3rd rate tier versions of Kellz stuff and you can't evne say you got one money track after being in the game almost a decade despite having almost 5 albums and toursout.

dude as a fan is right, but as a fellow artist he doesn't have a leg to stand on since a good voice aside his mateiral is really ordinary at best IMO.

Actually, I think people on here are reasonable. I don't see any bashing or anyone downing Kellz a lot. It's really rare.

Also to those saying Trey was talking "real talk" that is BS. There's a line between bashing and kindly expressing an opinion. Fuck him.
