Default The Strings on Double Up compared to other Rk Albums

One thing that I do like on Double Up is the strings and RK has re-teamed up with Larry Gold again and I dug the string arrangements on the Happy People Project. so how does the Double Up Strings compare to past albums that had Strings on them by Kellz? this Album has some strings on them and they work. I think they add even more intensity to RK's Work. what's your take on the Strings on this album and how do the string work on this album compare to past Rk Albums with strings on them??

Yeah I dug Larry Gold's string arrangements on Happy People but I actually didn't even notice he was on Double Up because the strings weren't as prominent in the music as in Happy People. It speaks volumes about R. Kelly's stature and place in history that someone like Larry Gold would want to work with him.

In terms of string arrangements you already mentioned Happy People maxxx but personally I thought the string arrangements by Paul Riser on TP-2.Com were brilliant - quite prominent and integral to the compositions too.

I agree, I don't think on Double Up the strings are too prominent, whereas on TP-2 they were kick-ass first-class main elements of the music.
However, I did notice that some of the Double Up songs have really beautiful music, which unfortunately only makes me sad because I don't feel the lyrics and vocal melodies are on an appropriate level.

When it comes to the instrumentals, the stand-outs for me are Freaky In The Club, The Zoo, Real Talk, Best Friend, Havin' A Baby and Sex Planet.

1TP-2COM! mostly strings and bongos. rkelly gives each part of the music a chance to express itself. some songs are best lyrical some strings and some bass.this imo gives him an opportunity to branch out musically. double up is more of a soulful album less strings.tp3 is best for its lyric delivery.r album for mellowness.half on a baby (strings).

The only songs with strings on DU were Real Talk and Best Friend. I think Larry Gold's strings are less prominent than Paul Riser's but they both work...
