He is basically saying that R.Kelly isn't subtle with his subject matter basically. Kellz ain't into making alot of metaphors with his subject matter. Kellz is the type of writer who has done a play on words&then gone direct with what he was getting at. it all depends. but I understand what dude was hitting at. it's not a diss. what he is saying that R.Kelly is a Great Artist, but lyrical his directness turns some folks off. I've heard some writers say that about him through the years. take back to 12 Play: Your Body's callin,Bump&Grind were smooth&the lyrics were direct but smoothed out,but then you get I like the Croutch On you which got him alot of looks. but then you get a Tongue in Cheek track like "Feelin on your Booty" where while being direct, he also is able to pull it off and maintain the Humor. it depends on how you look at it.

I Don't Understand The Writer's Comments As Well. Maybe He Should Practice What He Is Writing. Because Statement Makes No Sense.

In such a short blurb about how prolific Kells is currently with those four songs the writer still has to include something about his legal issues. I agree with mistermaxxx that it's not a diss, but it seems even when a writer says something positive about Kells it's always tempered by those charges.

That article's annoying as hell to me. I ain't never gotten used to that type of attacks. I don't get sensitive at every single bad-mouthing, but I do react the most to this type of crap. It highlights negative side of R.Kelly. And teaches me again that.....Kellz shouldn't do these collabos in one sweep and at the same time. Not only I didn't like the music itself, but also I frowned thinkin that...... the songs would give this kind of responses a certain amount of justifiable reasons that some readers agree with easily.

He's versatile period. But, the writer's focus is on the content and sheds light on him as one of crazy, oversexed celebrities, other than an artist. That's why legal issues were brought up. Whether the lyric is explicit or not, as long as these 3 things-money, hoes, and sex-are combined, any critics will write about some amount of negative sides. I hate the fact and that's why I hope he at least slows down on these collabos.

The writer sounds like he or she thinks that R.Kelly lacks the ability to musically show or hide things sensitively responding to the public.
    Two sides to a coin:
(+) He's true to his musical instinct. He do what he wants and don't care and still can be successful in winning people's ears.
(-) He can put himself under fire even more with legal issues involved. In that respect, he ain't clever or shrewd enough.
