why R.O.B - 'Takin' it to Church'...

Off the back of Brother Maxxx's thread about Rob's bridges, I got to thinking if there is 1 thing about an R. Kelly song, is that more often than not they get better the longer they go on, often ending in a wonderful climax.

Question is what are the songs that you have to listen to right til the last second, often straining your ears to figure out what he's saying as the song fades away?

Off the bat, I have to come with:

'Touched a Dream' - the way Rob ends that song, is nothing short of incredible. Its truly as if he has been touched by the Holy Spirit.

'Loveland' - Someone please help me out on this 1. I have been bumping this song weekly for 7 years now, and I still cant figure out what Rob says at the end of the cut. The correct lyrics are not even posted here, but I beg that someone breaks that 1 down for me cuz I love the melodies, I just need to know what he's saying. Hidden Content

'Taxi Cab' - its not quite the end but its close to the end, where the guitars come in real hard and Rob sings out aloud "And the Shorty know's she's bad, think I love her! See The Girls bad for me, but her sex is good to me!" - massive!

Obviously we gotta show big respect to 'Number One Hit' - "My Coming to America, etc". You find yourself just waiting for that final bit and then possibly rewinding it a few times. Hidden Content

'Step In The Name Of Love' (Original). When he starts harmonising "Think Im gonna make a Baby" in the background, and finishes it off with "Dedicated to Uncle Henry Love, thank you, thank you" Hidden Content Also the harmonies and key change at the end of 'Just Cant Get Enough' are also next level.

Then some Cuts he wrote for others:

'Charlie Last Name Wilson', 'Magic', and 'Here I Am' all have great endings along with 'B2K - Girlfriend'.

There's a few off the top of my dome, so all please chime in with your favourites. Hidden Content

SEX WEED for me is a huge song that comes to a climax at the end....the whole song is mellow then at the end he goes nuts and just lays out the vocals

The end of "Bad man" is very special for me begining with "I gotta keep on keepin on...", he is telling the story of so many that grew up without fathers.

First song that comes to mind, as you said first, is Touched A Dream. Every time. That is the all time best breakdown. As he said..."that's real love you feel me?" He put his heart and soul in that.

Great call on 'Real Talk' - I completely forgot..."Milton!" Hidden Content and of course 'The Greatest Sex' - "This Sex so good I gotta break it down..."

Oh, what about the end of 'Soldier's Heart' - the last note is something else.
