They're not great numbers, but R. Kelly is always going to be making music. Just enjoy it. Talk about it with people who also enjoy it. You don't need validation from CD sales. It's nice and all, but R. Kelly's going to make bank on tour so don't worry about that.

First of all, I like the album. New music. I agree - track 1 should be something different. and track 2 would be so much better if he just sang on it. The rest of the album: dope!

The sales numbers are pretty bad yes - but we need to keep in mind that people are not buying music anymore. Streaming is more popular than ever.

I myself have Apple Music AND Deezer subscriptions. So there is no incentive for me to buy the actual album. I'm paying about 10 euros per month and that's it.

But I agree, the marketing is horrible. He could have done so much better. He should to talk to some hustlers - because the hustle is definitely off. The quick wins are not reaped.

Happy holidays everyone. Enjoy the album - just simplify it all back to the music.

I like Adele voice tho not a supporter. She is WINNING right now as she did with the last album. She is not doing vulgar music & she is appealing to other demographics. She doesn't have to cross over! Like mentioned, Kelly need to realize his core audience has grown w/him. We don't want to hear that language heard on other young artists albums. Taxi Cab & Lost In Your Love is the direction to go if he chooses to stay in that lane. More sensual tracks like those, less vulgar such as Marry the P***Y. Write that type stuff for Breezy. Im about to write to Red Light Mngmnt. Maybe if we all do it & sign it as 12-play.net, he'll listen

Smile4me, as catchy as Marry the P***y is you're right it's absolutely mindboggling that he would have the guts at this point in his career to record a track like that. I think it's distasteful, but hey it's too bad he won't listen. As much as I love the brother, it's not my life do what you do playa. If someone is that stubborn and doesn't want to listen you gotta let them be & let them learn the hard way. At this point, I wonder if he's just getting these last few albums released to get RCA out the way so he can really do his thing. I hope so. That brotha has too much talent to waste

This is on R. Kelly and no one else alone. We can't continue to blame the label. First it was Jive now it's RCA. When it's all said and done it's Robert Sylvester Kelly's fault.

If we take the premise that the label wanted a more contemporary sound. Fine, you don't have to be as explicit as he was on BP. Heck, I've heard some of Chris Brown's last few albums and they're nowhere near as explicit as some of the stuff Kelly's released the last few years. Dude, you're almost 50. He could still make a strong R&B track that can potentially get crossover appeal. That's what I don't get. These songs can get airplay on R&B or Pop radio.

Next point, post trial the only album that had the concept, marketing and timing down pat was LL. Shocking, it's his best selling album post trial. The reason everything was on point because the label and R. Kelly were on the same page and more importantly he was focused. How are you going to release a track about bbqs at the end of summer or take an extreme roar on subject by doing BP, that's ridiculous. And there was really no need for The Poem. All it's done is distract people from a pretty good album.

Last point and some have already said it. He needs to go away for awhile. I'm talking 4 to 5 years. After awhile the public gets tired of you. I'm not saying D'Angelo time, but there's something said for the heart growing fonder. Right now he's over saturated. This guy should be making artistic statements at this point in his career. When it's all said and done R. Kelly sells himself short when he compares himself to the Chris Browns and Jerimiahs of the world. You never see Usher, Mary, Janet or Maxwell comparing themselves with the stars of today. They have nothing to prove.

That's my 2 cents on it...well maybe more than 2 cents. Hidden Content
