I see....That sounds cool. Also cool to know his song gave birth to remixes by others cuz I consider that one kind of recognition&appreciation. Musical feedback to music. I think when an original song is soooo great, fantastic, it's really hard to ruin it. Anyway, I can listen to any kind of remix except for those where some djs put mechanical, stiff beats and mess up the beauty of original tracks. Corny way to arouse people to get up and move while they also can do that to the tracks that are not typically defined as "dance music" I hate those kind of mix versions usually called "~club/dance mix" that much.

I just heard a few Dance Mixes of R. Kelly songs. I don't think they're bad, but I avoid listening to them because it sounds so weird in my ears. I wonder why quite a few R. Kelly songs (I wish, Thank god it's friday, Ignitio) were mixed and released this way. Correct me if I'm wrong, but as far as I know, dance music isn't very popular in the United States. Or does Kells himself likes this music from time to time so he allows other people to remix his songs ?

I guess I'm the only one who loves Rob's dance remixes. Hidden Content They are so not what anybody would expect from Rob, and that's why it's so great. Besides, they just sound cool. I don't mind a little electronic music. And also let's not forget that R. put some new, great vocals on those tracks that can't be found on other remixes.

You're right about those vocals. Unfortunately, I never listen to them because I can't stand that dance background. I wish I could isolate the vocals from all that noise and listen to them alone. Hidden Content

I Should've worded more exactly. I meant...how can I say....the kind of dance mixes that somebody puts typical beats on original songs. For example, if you have heard, those kind of mixes on Whitney Houston's greatest hits are what I was gettin at. Or many others' greatest hits and special edition albums. Heavy beats and machines are roughly used and no great touch is added.

I love dance remixes of I Wish, Ignition, and TGIF. These ain't the same ones that I hate. I'm a huge vocal fan and he was singing with different yet brilliant tones on the first two!
Kellz just ain't that kind to let his originals be ruined esp. when he works on the remixes. TGIF mix by Incognito sounds great. I believe he's satisfied by their interpretation of the original.
He seems to be open and like many other artists, might be proud. If a song gets remixed by others, it speaks about its popularity and greatness, ain't it?

There is a dance remix of TGIF? I only know the Incognito Mix, or is that the one you're talking about Helena?

Yeah, apart from The Incognito Mix and The Incognito Instrumental there are another three TGIF remixes: Johnick Club Mix, Rollo Remix & Ron Isley Bonus Beat Down (which is only instrumental).

That is the truth ! Therefore I wouldn't mind a few dance remixes in the future, even though they are not my favourites.

Exactly ! I only heard snippets of the last three ones, but the Rollo Remix is another remix without changing much from the song, similar to the Incognito Mix. The Johnick Club one is a dance remix and Ron Isley Bonus Beat Down is a dance-like instrumental. I never understood what this has to do with Ron Isley Hidden Content
    Post #600 for me !
