i got hat 12 inch of why you wanna play me, not shocked or surprised by this at all because Kelly had the tracks all done and the cats from MGM were together however usually contracts and politics which holds things in check. Public Annoucement was just a front to get R out their because he wasn't hundred Percent at being Solo. however he had written and Produced all the tracks. remixing,etc.. i wouldn't be surprised if Barry Hankerson didn't see much in MGM and lets be real R.Kelly emerged clearly, however he might have had to renounce rights from working with this PA. and they did drop that album back in 03 or 04 called the the real R in R&B.

he been writing and cutting tracks for years, just like in his book where he talked and alluded to cutting tracks for years they were heard. for instance "I can't sleep" was cut in the mid to late 80's.

the good news the group thing was short lived. a few of the MGM era tracks made way to when he worked with Hi FIve when he gave them "Quality time and a few other tracks.

one day there is gonna be a great comphrehensive book on his Prolifc and productivity.
