Without question he has the ability to do it & could easily compete with any of the top dogs in that genre but on a personal note I would like to see him concentrate on the R&B side, at this moment, the timing for a country album would be all wrong in my opinion. R&B needs his help to bring it back from the ashes ... I am taking his words in Vibe magazine about BP being similar to 12 Play, CF & TP-2 with a pinch of salt because that would seriously be an epic album so I dont want my expectations to be dwindled when it eventually drops but the focus surely needs to be back on what made him as an artist

I have no problems with him "switching lanes" as he calls it & have never questioned his ability to do so but looking at it from a music industry exec's perspective who invest in album projects, the question has to be is there a market in the country genre for an R&B legend? ... I'm not too sure there is, its a stubborn & tough market to crack. A free drop or two could work to spark a buzz.

I'm ready for an R.Kelly country album, I hope he does a rock blues type album too that'll be awesome, but right now he should focus on R@B first, but I would love to see R.Kelly win a CMA award or two.

I would like him to revive R&B right now. But after that, at any point he sees fit to deliver the country album, I'll be here for it.

Im overly ready, but never at the expense of RnB - the thing is I don't think that's how he works anyways. He does all genres of music at all times, but we only get to hear certain stuff at any 1 given time. In terms of collabos Ima go straight off the bat with Tim McGraw, I dont think Rob and Black Shelton would really get along but Tim seems like a cooler Cat. Then maybe someone like like Lionel Richie, it would be really cool to see 2 RnB icons express their love and appreciation for Country on a record - besides a collabo with Lionel is well overdue.

I'm not big on country to begin with, so it's "Let's see where he can go with it" type of thing for me. Plus, I'd love a blues album or jazz album before he tries his hand at anything country, let alone a whole album of the genre. And you know when it comes to hardcore R&B, I can never have too much of it.

I say save R&B from the evil forces that have kidnapped it now and after you've solidified your place as King once again, go do your country album... Aint nobody got time for that... :P

I'm pretty ready, and that's just because of curiosity. I would like a few tracks released to youtube first, and see how it sounds. I have no doubt that he will kill it.
