What about a CF2.com??? Or a Chocolate Factory 2nd Quarter??? That would be great. I say leave 12 Play alone. But either way I will still buy multiple copies and tell everyone else to buy it. I know there will be good music on it. But I think he's ready to sing again. At least thats what I'm hoping.

If I hear one more Patron reference from Kells, well...oh who the fuck am I kidding, I'll always be a fan. But on the DU album alone there were at least five references to him sippin' on Patron. WE GET IT KELLS, you love Patron! and Hennessey comes in a close second. It's very clear to us that you enjoy these two drinks. But enough now.

If he returns to the quality of TP-2.com (which I feel is the best TP album) then I have no worries about TP4. TP.3 was a little bit of a step back, but it's not nearly as bad as some people here think it is.

Default The release date has already been set, but...

it'd be much better if the album would drop anytime during the post-trial period. He dropped the two classics, Chocolate Factory and Happy People/U Saved Me during the pre-trial period and both were conceived and born while he was going through the trying times. But, more and more I become to feel he can really focus on making creative, soulful albums after this trial is over. I enjoyed several tracks off Tp-3.Reloaded and Double Up, respectively, but those 2 albums tell me something about his emotional state...Like sometimes when we feel stressed out, we can't really afford to be serious doing your thing. Rather, we might try to indulge ourselves in quick fun. The repetitive clubber/gangsta persona in the tracks reflect that state of mind as well as his conscious efforts to appeal to the younger audience, IMO.

I do believe he can shock us with an album that comes somewhat out of left-field, not just a soulful one that we've been waiting for so much. I think R. album is the most experimental one out of his catalogue and I hope the 2nd one comes anytime after the trial is over. There's no such rule that says every great artist should have only 1 experimental album throughout their career. "This is R.Kelly we know?? Wow, it's really different and even quirky, but still sounds tight". I'd like to hear this type of response from people.

I would love for him to put out a part 2 R. album. I guess after the trial we'll probably get a more personal album from R.Kelly. That will be the best album in his arsenal!

For now he shouldn't release anything. The trial is getting all the attention. You can see with Hairbraider. The song flopped big and radio stations aren't playing it anymore. If he can come up now with a monster hit like Ignition my opinion will change though

12 Play will be released regardless, IMO. I think it's going to be great! I think we will all be pleasantly surprised.

I am hoping for some slow jams from Kelly on this new album. I really love Hairbraider. The beat is really tight. R. is so so talented. I love his music.

I've been seeing Hairbraider on VH1 Soul (all video channel) a lot lately, which is great. But one thing that is annoying is they edited the hell out of the song. They did a little too much. They bleeped out "doing" in the hook so it sounds like "I'm ***** my hairbraider and she ** my hair so good that I...". They are making the lyrics seem worse than they are. They bleep out "strip" when he says "the way she strips for me". And they just bleep out other unnecessary words. But as long as its getting played thats good.

hairbraider and that scott storch bs piss me off. I love kels but i dont think he loves the music nemore. I can't blame him for losing that drive while he's fighting for his freedom. I think he should just scrap this album and take another year in the studio post-trial to regain his passion. I liked the snippet of the Whitney Houston song he prepared and it leaves me wondering why he doesn't keep songs like that.

    think Back to the hood...

Remember that song on the 12 Play album. Robert was rapping.

That was his second album. R Kelly is a complex musical artist with a lot to prove. I know he can make another 12 Play another TP2 or The R-ruh. I think he is playing with concepts and sooner or later he may go back to his old habits. He still loves music, but I think the public is getting on his fucking nerves. That can kill your passion after a while. He may not want to do anything special for anybody.
