I don't know where to begin...Gone for some days and this whole lotta info...I won't listen to the snippets and will wait til I get the cd. He looks like a funk or punk musician on the back cover.

OK, so, one of the most anticipated albums this year....originaly going to be 'makin babies' an album full of RnB and soul but suddenly changed direction after alot of people callin him up about 'doubling up' so he went in a hip hop direction...or as i like to call it, the sell out direction.

the album is 70-80% produced by others ffs!!!!! timberland, neptunes, dr dre and others in there. some are ok but nuthin more then average club tracks.

but this is where the agro is for me...the slow jams written and produced by kells towards the end of the album...they are PERFECTION i mean, seriously, some of the best RnB jams heard in years! marvin gaye like, even beats a lot of mj RnB jams...if not all! lol but what pisses me off is that fact that these slow jams were from the 'makin babies' album he was orinialy doing but then scrapped so, if he did that album full of these tracks...let me tell u, R. Kelly would of had one of the best RnB albums in history!

conincidently, the tracks produced by kells alone happen to be the highlights of the album...they r:

    The Zoo. (this is awesome)
Best Friend. (traditional kells, cheating spouse n all tht. goodish)
Sweet Tooth. (the introduction to the 'makin babies' tracks, amazing)
Having a baby. (incredible, u wont find sweeter RnB...)
Sex Planet. (the best jam of the year so far! AMAZING)
Rise Up. (the charity single for virginia victims, standard r kells gospal)
I Like Love. (a reggae track tht makes u feel real good!)

it just gets me mad how he decided to go in a complete commercial direction....

the album is released on May 29th.

the album is expected to top the charts in USA so far.

So these are the only ones who are produced by Kells ? I'm kinda disappointed but still curious to read the booklet tomorrow.

^^ I'm sure he produced more on the album, "Freaky In The Club", "Double Up" (he said on his MTV interview that he did pen the track, "Sex Planet", among some tracks that we ALL know have that Kells-sound. Listen to the instruments that we've all heard on previous cuts.. Kellz Executive produced this album, and I'm sure about 8 of the songs he maybe co-produced

R Kelly didnt sell out, he's changing with the times. Like i said before, if Kells just did slow jams he would not be selling like he does. When he does want to use his artistic freedom, like on HP/USM the label lets him take a chance cuz he always puts up big numbers. but he's gotta go back to what sells bcause young people are the ones with the most disposable income so they buy the albums, ringtones, etc. thats just being smart and thats what has always kept him ahead of the pack. Brian McKnight, Joe and all the other guys his age dont sell like he does cuz they haven't made that transition. so this album to me is perfect because it keeps him relevant, cuz that last album didnt do it, the oinly thing that saved it was trapped. we might get an album where he gets more adventuyrous on the next one, especially if this record dos big numbers. but the thing u gotta remember also is kells aint gettin any younger so he's gotta make all the chart toppers he can for the youth while he's still got a young look and everything. then maybe he can transition to like an isley brothers or something in another 10 years or so.

    but he will lose respect.

look at prince. kept respect for the music. releasing the greatest music still...his own trademark style now, whats he recently been hailed? the G.O.A.T

kelly has his own style now hes let himself down n lowered himself to average RnB cats.
