and it dawned on me how would you react if Kellz said he wanted to drop a New Jack Swing sounding album for the Summer time? maybe Nosteligia is kicking in or something but the warm weather and feel good vibe, etc.... has been Grooving to New Jack Swing era R and missing that vibe. there was some funk vibes on "Double Up" but a good feel Good old school Swing beat album could be interesting. would you welcome a New Jack Swing up-dated 07-08 Project from Kellz??

Damn, you know what's funny? I was just bumpin' some New Jack Swing sh*t the other day and I asked myself, "What would it sound like if someone re-did NJS with a 2007 vibe to it?" The first person I thought of was Teddy Riley and R. Kelly & P.A. I remember how they used to "harmonize" the hooks a certain way. No matter what kinda song it was, there was this New Jack Swing "effect." Especially when I listen to "She's Got That Vibe." Man, the vocals, the drum patterns, he cow bells, and how can you forget the high-top fades and gumbys??? Oh yeah, the dance moves too! Hidden Content

I don't have personal memories with New Jack Swing, but y'all above got me excited. Why not? Of course, I'd welcome that kind of project. It'd be a nice concept album. There must be many other folks who had good ol days then and still enjoy NJS R.Kelly. Yea, how about inviting Teddy Riley as a collaborator and honorable guest for the genre? The only thing to worry about is the album should have tight upgrade. I believe he would really care about that and stop possible crticism that could go like, "Ain't nothing but a stunt to make some money off nostalgia and IT thing in the past" or "R.Kelly having a some kind of writer's block? Suffering lack of creativity?"

Yeah, I don't have any connection to the New Jack Swing era, but yeah why not. I'm not a big fan of "She's got that vibe" but I really love a couple of other tracks from Born into the 90's or 12Play. And especially some feel-good-summer tracks would make feel excited about that kind of project.
