    Default among THE remixes

Among the remixes that are not actually different songs from the originals, which one do you like and/or think are as good as or even better than the originals? Kelly got so many remixes that would not be usually called "remixes" cuz they're sooo different, but I'm not talkin bout them here.

Interesting topic Sister H. Hidden Content ...I actually define a 'remix' now based on how different a song can be from the original, but still using the initial concept...that's when Rob's genius is at its best and these 'other remixes' which he is putting really shows his lack of inspiration right about now.

However to give a direct response, I wud say that his best over the last 2 years is probably 'Customer Remix' or 'Promise Remix' (shout out to 'In Luv With A Stripper Remix' and 'Make it Rain Remix' I see them as guest appearances rather than remixes though).

The more I look at it though the more I think that all of his current remixes are just guest appearances or just 'freestyles'. Hidden Content The last official remix I can think of is 'Flex' aka 'Freaky In The Club Remix' which was good, but wasnt a scratch on the original.

I too look at the recent 'remixes' as more like freestyles. That said, he turned the original Touch My Body into something better. Sounds more convincing and easy and smooth.

a few others: Definition of a Hottie remix, Did You Ever Think remix,...

there are alot of truly great remixes kells has blessed us with, my favs are:

    ghetto out (changing faces)
    homie lover friend
    your body's calling
old school mix of bump n grind
fucking you tonite remix ( in to deep soundtrack)
    street dreams,

there are just loads of great ones i cant think of them all right now, but as for the freestyles he definatly does a better job than the original on tracks like:

    touch my body
    chopped and screwed
    a milli

man theres so many tunes its unreal.

Hey sis, I see you. Hidden Content

He has so many great 'real remixes' that are at least as good as the original versions. One of my favorites has to be "Your Body's Calling (His and Hers Mix)". Classic is to say little.

I was about to mention that remix cuz, of all the latest ones, this is one that really improves the original.

smiley2 By "THE remixes", I mean...

I appreciate everyone's posts here. I'd like to make it clear that this thread is about the kind of remixes that sound similar to the originals, not the "a whole new song" type of remixes. I'm talkin about the type of R.Kelly remixes done the way many other artists remix their songs. In other words, the remixes that you can quickly notice it's the "remix" of a certain song. Those are what people usually call "remix".

*Kellz surely got so many "remixes", which are basically, totally different from its originals. They're not the ones that I'm talking bout here*

Me too. One of my favorites esp. among the kind of remixes that I'm talkin bout here. Another one is Hell Yeah remix. The base kicks ass. The original is good, but the remix makes a great dance tune becuz of the base.
