    Default 12play vs TP2.com

Eventhough 12 play was kellz 1st solo album and the album shot him to superstardom, it seems like TP2 gets more love and recognition than 12 play...They're both classic albums imo...

Do u think TP2 gets more love than 12 play?

Which album is better and why?

    great topic

imo tp2 has good to great songs, i wish is a hood classic and a great song.

tp2 is more versatile on a whole, however 12 play got classic songs.

your body's callin and bump and grind alone if you were the average to good artist you could live off those two songs alone and be straight with a gig for years, you feel me?

then you got seems like your ready and 12 play the title track.

12 play represents a great time and it is a classic and rightfully so.

i had a great time when that album dropped, it represented a changing of the guard because with that album r kelly took babyface's run away and then broke out of the guy and new jack swing comparrisons for good.

tp2 though is a great album the greatest sex just on the arrangements alone is a beast.

i don't mean it, the storm is over, feelin on your booty, just like that, a woman's threat, fiesta was huge and tight..

tp2 on a whole has more depth, however 12 play got those larger than life songs and from 93--98 could do no wrong musically, imo, but tp2 on a whole is a better album, however 12 play got the more classic songs and the remix game is sicker.

    your body's callin re mixes

    bump and grind re mixes

    homie,lover,friend re mix

12 play made him an R&B icon and that album made him a household name and people get nostelgia over that time period and rightfully so because that was when he started beasting.

but imo he is a far more sharper songwriter, producer, arranger and tunesmith than he was then, he has evolved and tp2 reflects that imo.

^ great topic and great responses, and I have to agree with Maxx, 12 player has more monster hits and T-p2 is better as a whole album, but they are both great.

TP-2 is the better album, but 12 Play is like the first love so I'll get back at you with that answer.

Well we can agree that 12 play had more bigger ballads, however, TP2.com was a better album....Do u agree w/ a sequel of 12 play or should he had chosen TP2 to remake since TP2 is the better album?
