The Champ is here! The Champ is here! I said the Champ is here! He's done it again! He back at #1! I just want to say we all are R.Kelly fans and at times we complain about wack ass rappers and not put out classic Kellz stuff. I don't like every song on Double Up but I do think this album is more of a net to catch more fans around the world with these different artists. By him working with Kid Rock means he may have grabbed some of Kid's fans as well as the other artists. Us real R.Kelly fans get classic Kellz on songs like Havin A Baby, Sweet Tooth, Sex Planet, and the other slow cuts up there. Non-Kellz fans get a chance to see how Kellz get down with there favorite artist. But anyway Kellz is #1! Like MJ in 5, he has 6-peat! Congrats Kellz! I hope y'all don't mind me posting this thread! Peace!

Its a reference to Michael Jordan and the Bulls when he came back and they won their 6th Championship.

damn right, when Kellz said that part "like MJ in 5, I will six peat" that got me pumped up 'cause Kellz and Mike are my two favorite entertainers of all-time.

I guess Kellz was thinking about Double Up being no.1 when he said Like MJ in 5, I will 6-peat being it is his sixth solo joint.

Althea - Just to take all the answers a little farther, I think the reference to six - peat refers to Kellz believing that this album would be his sixth #1 Billboard debut.

His Billboard #1 album debuts are:
    1995 - R Kelly
    2000 - TP2.com
    2003 - Chocolate Factory
2004 - Unfinished Business collaborated with the "other guy"
    2005 - TP-3 Reloaded
    2007 - Double Up

I read this information from an article on MTV News titled "R Kelly's Chart Reign Continues with Sixth #1 Billboard Debut" which also stated that out of the 11 albums he's headlined all but one (Born into the 90's) has opened at either #1 or #2.

This is astonishing and confirms why he is the "Champion" and a "Musical Genuis."
