I'm just a fan of his music; could careless about the artist.
I'm a fan of the man - Robert, not R. Kelly.
I'm a fan of both the music and the man behind it.
Couldve have said it better than whats been said. the man behind his music. NO other artist for me do I follow, music, actor, or any other form of entertainment, is as or has been interesting or relative to me as Kelly. not even MJ as much as I loved MJ like I knew him. I feel like I know Kelly through his music though ive neva met him. will continue to support him until I am no more. like I said before, i'm no fairweather fan but a loyalist.
I definitely care about both, in fact I believe that they both go together. The music at times tells stories about the man
the music first and foremost, i pulled for him during the trial and hope he stays healthy and continues to be blessed, however its his talent that got me into him, but entertainers are just like anybody else and you might dig some things and some things you might not and some times its better to leave things to the stage or the concept you have of them often is more than enough.
we never know anyone a 100 percent even people we see daily and nightly, so the art will always be there.
R.Kelly though seems like the kind of brother that i could relate to from around the way, plays ball, has a good time and enjoys life. down home brother vibe.
Both. I think I always wonder about those who make the music I like.
Many times that's basically the beginning of my fan life.
Of course, how much I care, that depends, tho.
Exactly. Just caring about the music, that's cool, AS LONG AS YOU DON'T GO AROUND TALKING SHIT ABOUT THE MAN. Instead, be indifferent.
this is a very good topic.
personally i am a fan of both. and i think thats why kells means so much to me because i feel that hes real and when an artist is real you support both their real life and their music.
im also a big tupac fan and thats the same feelin i have for him
The music is what drew me in. I heard Ima flirt Remix when it first came out early 2007, and was instantly hooked on Rob's music for life.
Notice how I wrote "Rob." Like I know him personally; I feel, on some level, I do. The man's music is a reflection of his entire life.
Rob IS his music, and his music IS him.
P.S.: If you disagree about him as a person, well, first off, I don't understand the reasoning behind that, but second of all, do yourself a favor. Watch a few interviews of Kells on youtube or wherever. Notice how HUMBLE and RESPECTFUL he is. Your mind just might be changed. - K. Johnson
"'Let me remind you that I am the king of R&B.' It's an unnecessary boast: Who could possibly argue, or forget?" - Kelefa Sanneh; the New York Times; 2007
I would have to say Kelly is the most misunderstood, underappreciated artist since MJ. if he does do something off the wall ppl dont know how to receive it. or being "mysterious" ppl call him weird or judge him based off issues in his late 20's.
