Thread: What will people respect R.Kelly for in 2008??

Clearly.........the days of Bump'n'Grind are OVER. Music, like it has for the past 10,000 years has changed. And fortunatley (or maybe unfortnatley) for R.Kelly he is CAUGHT RIGHT SMACK IN THE MIDDLE!

Some of you hardcore old school fans will not want to vote on this poll (look at the choices ;) lol) but what kind of lyrics/music do you think people in 2008 will respect R.Kelly more for now?

We have TWO VERY different examples in less than a month that Kellz has given us. NOTE: This is TOTALLY intentional. I think R.Kelly and his people knew what they were doing by releasing these two VERY different tracks

I'm not a hardcore oldschool fan but I decided not to vote in that poll. I love Double Up (album)and I like "hairbraider" a lot, but that doesn't mean I want that type of music from the most talented and best muscian on this planet. I haven't lost hope yet, that he will give us another classic Rnb album again.

True he's just messing around a real album is coming soon..which is gonna fire it just might be 12 play fourth quarter...remember 12 play had a couple of good slow jams ...this might be it for 2008

I think it's too early to think about this already. I'm a beast is a good song and something very different but it's not officially released and so not popular among the mainstream audience. If he won't have a huge succes may it be with Hairbraider (which doesn't has enough potential in my opinion) or the new album there won't be much that the people will respect him for. I'm still hoping for the release of Whitney Houstons new album this year which will have hopefully "I look to you" on it. Then this would be the most respectable song in a good while from him.

i dont think people are expecting much from him with this album.....probably something along the lines of TP3 or a bit worse.....

Co-sign. I'm with you with this one, and I also agree with Mixmaster. It's a too early of what we can expect, but I hope that Rob can BRING BACK the bump-n-grind, old school with a new twist, IMO.

that is the best Song he could make in 08.

as for those songs they are time period cuts but forgettable after this year. they are like album filler tracks IMO. now I'm waiting for a real lead off single.
