How Will R.Kelly do @ Awards Shows w/ Double Up and Collabs out?

Basically, the only R-and-B artist that matters right now.

Sales are in the 100K's above most hip hop acts and sometimes double and triple any r-and-b acts.

He has collabed with almost every genre and stayed on pop and hiphop charts for the past 2 years and now with double up more of the same.

Videos are constantly number one or on heavy rotation and with TITC being released and the live DVD having sold so well..........

.......WILL THE AWARDS RECOGNIZE?!

(NOTE...and a BIG NOTE: T-Pain and Akon are classified R-and-B)

I voted he will get some. I can seriously see "I'm Flirt Remix & Same Girl Remix" getting an award. Even though the "Same Girl Remix" just came out, I see it being play out on all the radio stations so will see if my predictions are true.

getting One is gonna be a reach since really His side stuff with Snoop and Young Jeezy had more buzz than his own stuff overall. I see AKon cleaning up.

now if "Don't let go" was released and up for nominations then I'd say he could win. but I can't see much of anything from double up winning. Akon is pushing toward triple platinum and he is all over the charts and on so many other people's records,etc....

besides it doesn't matter because Kellz got robbed back when Chocolate factory and Happy People were out. if he couldn't rack up with those two albums not including Tp2 then he ain't gonna get much.

^ ^ i get what you saying maxxx.......but industry big wigs are like that. they reward stuff that should probably take a back seat and leave stuff thats REALLY good in the dust.

if that forumla stays true then happy people/chocolate factory should have one BUT didnt so double up WILL win. lol

akon and tpain are hit acts right now but no one EVER talks about how their music is GOOD. its always about how its a hit, or funny or catchy or strange or fresh. but never about how its any GOOD.

NO, the industry will SHUN him again....this is so unfair.He deserved to recieve so many awards. But the industry stopped him from recieving the awards

The industry will definetely shun him again but I'm confident he'll get at least ONE award. They would be stupid not to give him at least one. He completely stole the 2007. He did everything under the sun. With all the collabos and the fact that Double Up is a very solid album, he deserves to get several awards but I won't get my hopes up because the industry always treats him dirty.

i doesnt deserve to get an award...maybe nominated but thats it...i can see same girl getting an award but thats about it

i kind of hope it doesnt aswell cus its gonna be kind of demeening of his talents because albums like Happy PEople/U Saved Me and Chocolate Factory didnt get anything...an because its gonna motivate him into doing this kind of music more often

I'm with you on what you say about Akon and T-Pain but I don't consider Double Up as good music either. It has some really good moments, but as if you think of it as a whole, the album goes in the same direction as the two artists mentioned above. I mean, I still prefer Kells work over Akon's or T-Pain's but I would feel like I've got fooled if he would the awards he didn't receive for Chocolate Factory or Happy People.
