After listening to the mixtape for two times I can say that I'm not disappointed because I didn't really expect much of it. A personal list of which song gets how many R's would make much sense because every songs would stay below 3 R's except Supa Dupa Man and Disrespect my Shorty with Plies. Those two are decent.
From a musical perspective the mixtape contains a few catchy songs with beats or instrumentals that are nothing really good but decent. The singing is on point as always even though he doesn't challange his voice and the use of autotune pisses me off. Unfortunatly most of the lyrics are about party, alcohol and sex again and they're immature and don't fit the man that wrote so many great songs, for the church and the bedroom.
However, I acknowledge the fact that this is a mixtape and he was just playing around with it. Therefore the mixtape gets a solid 2 R's from my side. But he should get back to business real quick. He needs to stay away from the club, the patrone, the weed and the different pussy every night and put out some real music again.
    End of the story.

^I think that was a fair critique...pretty straight, and not letting Rob 'get off' for lowering his overall standard...I respect that.

I finally gave it a REAL good listen... on the couch between the speakers, some booz to go around, and some other stuff too. Some of the other artists on there were buzz kills occasionally, or just not as interesting as the man himself, but it's kells no doubt. My impression is moving to 5.

Maybe I'm an oddball... but I don't care for the 12 Play remix. I don't know if it's that great of a song, no matter who does it. But why is kells remixing contemporary songs, like Lockdown and 12 Play. Is he honoring those other artists, or showing them he's still the king of R n B, or both?

That's the one I choose out of the two what I believe he is doing... I don't really think I would call it honoring I think he just showing them he appreciates there work

I gotta admit I forced myself to listen to this mixtape more than once, because I know R. Kelly's music has sometimes that strange ability to make you like it after a few listens even though you thought it wasn't good at first. But the only thing I got doing that with this mixtape is getting angrier at Kellz and thinking it was even worse than what I thought at the beginning. Angry because I hate to see him waste his talent like that. I know he has the right to have fun and do whatever he wants, but sometimes when I think about his amazing gift and what he's doing with it lately... I cannot help but feel sad. I'm patient and I can wait, and I know he will come back, but he doesn't need to do it so hard for some of us in the meantime...

I know this is just a mixtape, not an album, and I know we didn't have to pay for this... but, to me, money spent is not the most important thing here. R. Kelly has a reputation and a legacy to protect and defend and it puzzles me to see him throw stones over his own roof... he doesn't want to be remembered as a legend or what?

Anyway, this mixtape is bad IMO. 'Supa Dupa Man', 'Banging The Headboard' and 'Pussy Cry' are nice, but I can see why they didn't make any of his albums. They're not that great. 2R rating as a whole. And it's not that I don't like anything Hip Hop... it's just that I like quality music. Period.

    Thanks K.R.X.

Tip the Waiter is awesome. As are CLub to a Bedroom, and I think disrespect my shorty is pretty hot. Tip the Waiter remix on his new album?

When kellz is on on this album, he is at the top of his game. I think I'll settle on 4.5 Rs. We're gonna need a higher scale for the next album.

And my determination of a good album of his is this: I find myself singing the songs even when I don't know the lyrics, all day long. Several of these songs do that for me.

I like this mixtape alot, first of all it's something different that he hasnt done and that is release a mixtape, second of all i believe Kellz made all of the songs he remixed way better than the original. so i hope he does another mixtape! Kellz is adding his own taste to the songs which is tight!
