Whats peoples 1st impressions & opinions on R. Kellys 1st Mixtape......
I was very negative about it, and I dont think I was unjustified by feeling that way...
however...
quite simply...
IT WORKS!!!!!!
Its gonna get bumped for summer...no lie!

I gotta give this one 5 Rs. All I wanted was some good r&b joints that I could listen to until September and thats what I got. Banging the Headboard, P.U.S.S.Y. Cry, and Supa Dupa Man are all GREAT. I LOVE those and I actually like what they did to Disrespect My Shorty...they mellowed it out. The other remix tracks are nice if you like hip hop and I really think some stations will be rockin a few of them.
So overall I'm pleased because I already knew most of the tracks and the one's I didn't know I'm VERY satisfied with![]()
3.5R's. There's some great tracks here, some bad ones, but overall, like V.I.P. said, this mixtape just WORKS. Kells got his swagga back no doubt.

I like it!....looks like he really had some fun putting this together...from plucking songs out of the vault to remixing other artists tracks....I might be biast but I think Kells has put a real good mixtape together for his fans...this should most definately keep the majority of Kells fans ticking over until the BIG album drop in September...tracks that stand out for me are PUSSY cry & Bangin The Headboard...
1st Impression Rating basing it on a Mixtape rather than an album drop 4R's
This is some annoying ass crap. Period.
That's not R. Kelly. It's someone else who looks like him but doesn't have the talent that the real R. Kelly once had. What he delivered here is all the crap I hate about today's so-called R&B. I would never have fallen in love with "music" like this in the first place, and I refuse to try finding ways to adjust to this new crap.
Everybody's whining about the state of today's R&B. Well guess what, there is no difference anymore between that state and R. Kelly's state. At least for now. I'm always open for positive surprises, but with that mixtape being an indicator for what's yet to come, I guess I'll save a few bucks by not buying the actual album. ("Oh no he didn't!")
supa dupa man is on the real... sme are some joints im not feelin, but pussy cry, bangn the headboard are diamonds in the rough!! some great tracks, some bad tracks, so im in th middle, 3 rs
