I dunno if "Same Girl" had that much drama in the states but based on the rumour that we heard here in Nigeria I know people who now do not believe anything that R. Kelly did in the past was written and produced by him.

I just hope he drops this idea of "staying fresh" and goes back to "writing life" by himself.

I hope he doesn't respond to this cuz I'm quite sure this wouldn't be the last time someone will come out to say something like this about the album.

Maybe its taken this long and the noise isn't so much because the album hasn't been particularly successful; if the sales pick up and the attention on Rob increases expect more of this nonsense.

Now I wasn't going to comment on this thread, but this was too true to ignore. ...The very last thing I want is to think that Rob did something when he didnt...I absolutely hate these false claims of songwritng, when the work is done by others...cuz that takes away every reason why I love My Man...

If I started finding out he didnt write certain songs what would seperate him from the other frauds out there like Beyonce, Timbaland and more?!!

This is what happens when u give away creative control...Send Rob a beat by all means, but writing songs for R. Kelly??

One thing I must say in defence of Rob though...when Chris Henderson was interviewed about the process for 'Untitled' he said that he played the unfinished beat for Rob, and Rob got out his dictaphone and started writing to the song there and then...Chris then went back and completed the instrumental...

Now whether or not the song Rob was composing at the time ended up as 'Elsewhere' we'll never know, but this may explain what Chris meant when he said he 'wrote it in '07'?

Whatever though, this kind of conjecture is not what I need to be racking my brains over...

The music game is one crooked and confusing place.

I'm sure this is more motivation to bring back that Old Skool Kells All songs Written, Produced, & Arranged by; R. Kelly don't be surprised if you see that on the back of his next album.

He needs to record himself doing what he did for Good News and actually coming up with the lryics to prove next time he is the master of his craft. He really don't have to do it but it will shut some people up about his next project.

If he didn't write the song by himself, it's not like he's incapable of doing so. How soon we all forget all of the massive songs he's written over his career. How soon we forget . . . smh. It just seems like some of us are losing faith in him and I wonder why?

The song writing game is a very complex one. If I write a complete song with lyrics melody and a beat that r kelly likes. If he decides to change just one or two words in the song he can get a co-writing credit. People get fooled when they look at the credits, they see two names and think it was a 50-50 contribution, but in many cases one person may contribute much more to the writing of the song than the other and this is only reflected in the royalty statements which the writers get. For instance, the song pregnant, The dream got a co-writer's credit but r kelly did more writing on it than him. You can bet robert is going get more money for his contribution to it than the dream everytime the song is played or the CD sold. The writers agree on the percentages they receive according to how much they contributed.

It is diificult if you are a young songwriter and a big name superstar contributes to your song. Because immediately everyone will assume the superstar had more to with the writing of the song than you, even though u might have written 80% of it and this hurts your marketing power as a songwriter. Thats why u see many unknown writers coming out and claiming their credit in public so other big time artists can notice them. I think the r needs to shout out a little more the writers who helped him on this record. its only fair because when he was coming up so many superstars mentioned his name when he wrote or co-wrote their songs. It would go a long way in clearing up the confusion that may occur to the public.

Chris pointed out that Kells re-wrote a majority of "Elsewhere" making it a honest co-write. And as we can see on the Untitled album. R. is credited as a co-writer. Now this nobody that is probably just a studio musician is saying R. didn't play no part in the process. Sit down. On top of that he had the nerve to make a comparison to Beyonce who never writes but claims publishing rights just for changing one word. Bogus.
