Thread: rants from the dude who played piano on "elsewhere"

i didnt want to trash the lyric section with this so i'll put it here. the guy who played piano on "elsewhere" is spending all his time on youtube in every upload of this song pointing out to people that kellz played no part in writing or producing of elsewhere.

keeps going on and on about how kellz didnt write or produce any parts of this song.... here are his quotes

nobody is discrediting r-kelly. if u read and COMPREHEND what i'm saying. I'm simply stating a fact. R-kelly didn't write the lyrics to this song nor did he produce any instrumentation. How is that hating? People have been leaving all kinds of comments applauding the lyrics and the music and they keep praising R-Kelly for it. As far as the lyrics and music go, he doesn't deserve THAT credit. That's all i've been saying. Never said he couldn't write or isn't capable of writing a song like this but the truth is all he contributed to this song was his voice. Chris Henderson wrote the lyrics and produced the beat. Period.

that's irrelevant to me. i know so much about this song because chris hired me to play the piano you're hearing. i'm not hating at all. i'm educating. r-kelly rightfully demands publishing on all his songd. it is what it is. beyonce dies the same thing. not saying that they can't write because they are both gifted writers but they don't write everything u see their name on

question is why is it bothering this guy so much maybe hes mad because he isnt listed in the credits inside the booklet. but trust he has a motive for typing this over and over again. nothing wrong with letting people know. but to keep repeating it over and over again...if its not bothering chris henderson. then why is it bothering him?????

You know what...All I'll say is I'm kinda glad this came out...because to me it sounds absolutely nothing like a Kells track both in lyric & production...no doubt Kells made the track huge but I never could imagine him writing or producing it from scratch...

I believe what the guy is saying about the co writing...remember Same Girl off Double Up...he took the original track & rewrote a few things....

I really don't think it should matter. This guy sounds like a scorn woman. Maybe he didn't get credit for his partipation for it and is bitter about it. As long as Kellz re-did the wording and production of the sound that's all that matter.

he's fighting a losing battle. If Chris, the original writer, says R. Kelly co-wrote the song then he as a writer has more say over the person who played piano on the song.

In the cases of Beyonce the writer came forward. And even the original song surfaced,same with R. Kelly - and even with "Same girl" the other writers were named.

This dude just wants some attention. He thinks he has ground-breaking news and he's trying to "break" a story.

I think every producer on the album tried to make something that sounds like something Kells would make. The piano line in the song sounds like apart of his concert on Light It Up Tour DVD at one of the break downs I believe the feelin on yo booty opera part... I don't really care everyone knew what Kells was doing with this album. I hope next album it's all Kells production, writing, & arrangements because we don't need this drama anymore. Which probably the reason most of you was against this in the first place cause yall probably saw this coming.

This happens & has been happening for a very long time. This is the music business! I don't think he's bitter, I just think he's stating the truth. Doesn't sound like he's hating at all. I think some people are taking it the wrong way.

If y'all ONLY knew how many songs have been ghostwritten... This business is NO JOKE y'all.

Think of it as a movie script. And then finding actors to play a part in ur production/movie/film. Same concept...

He should be content he was hired to play piano. Sounds to me like he's fighting over scraps.

This is one of the main reasons I didn't want an album that wasn't all written by Rob.

I dunno if "Same Girl" had that much drama in the states but based on the rumour that we heard here in Nigeria I know people who now do not believe anything that R. Kelly did in the past was written and produced by him.

I just hope he drops this idea of "staying fresh" and goes back to "writing life" by himself.

I hope he doesn't respond to this cuz I'm quite sure this wouldn't be the last time someone will come out to say something like this about the album.

Maybe its taken this long and the noise isn't so much because the album hasn't been particularly successful; if the sales pick up and the attention on Rob increases expect more of this nonsense.
