It was a pleasure typing out those lyrics...for those of your who havent read them: The R. Kelly Forums

This, in my opinion, is one of the FIRST songs in a LONG time that has real VALUE to it.

Sure its a different tone than Trade in my Life, I Wish (and its Remix) and Heaven I Need A Hug......but it has more emotion, rawness and realness than probably all of those songs.

For Kellz fans, this song is huge: Lyrics, stories behind those lyrics, style, background music/beat etc etc.

One of the lyrics that interested me the most was this:

But my career is soaring
While my life is a hot mess.
The depth of my struggle
Determines the height of my success!!

...many of us have thought that why does R.Kelly keep doing the things he is doing? Why is he in a relationship with the Daniels' daughter? Does he even realize he is doing something wrong? Does he even know it hurts his image?
APPARENTLY, he does.


And, is this track Kellz produced??

Im a be back to add my 2 cents worth, but in the meantime in between time this definitely seems like a track produced by Rob...based on the sound (somewhat of 'Rockstar'/'Good Sex'/'Pull Ya Hair' vibe going on) and also the fact that Rob aint gonna wait around for someone to send him a track to spit over...this definitely feels like something which he had to do himself!

Like I said I totally respect Kellz for making this. I feel all of his pain and agony. When he says "why I gotta hate on you look at me I'm rich boy", I believe that was totally directed towards Ne-Yo. He is just a little boy compared to Kellz. Kellz has no reason to hate on him. And when he says "you need a steering wheel the way you ride my dick boy", I thought that was hilarious because its true. Kellz has a funny sense of humor. Ne-Yo went on radio stations and talked about Kellz for a straight week for no reason and Kellz didn't say anything. Its good that he admitted, "But my career is soaring while my life is a hot mess". Its good that he realizes this. Hopefully he's trying to change things and improve his relationships.

He goes a little too far with the line "still tourin' round the world", cause everybody knows he hasn't been tourin' round the world for 6 years now. But I get the overall meaning of what he's trying to say.

Another thing I can't get over is the line "success has been my cell, so call the hits my lawyers cause they got me out on bail". So when he's in his cell of success and his hits got him out of that cell, that means they got him out of his success. So this is not really a good parallel.
Don't mean to bash the song, it's just some minor illogic. Still I love the way he flows.

I dont see it that way. But I understand where you are coming from.

I think he is talking about the fact that the more success he has the more imprisonment and persecution he feels. The hits that he puts out give him that breath of fresh air from the public talking shit. If you think about it, the only time people aren't talking shit about R.Kelly is when he has a hit song out.

Oh yea. Whatever the direction emotions flow from and to might be, almost everybody wanna hear the real thing in music. Posing as something you're not naturally in brings out pain for you, a performer and the audience.

I think it can also be that he's referring to the US. I've noticed some US citizens use the word "(the whole wide) world" actually meaning their homeland.

Neyo's a milli is he takin on Kells...the big headed sucker...can you believe he had the nerve..to say "you can sell more than me but yo don't have a million more than me" ....and Year of the Gentlemen is all a copy of Micheal Jackso style...is this the future of RNB
