Charlotte Observer | 02/29/2008 | Hip-hop, R&B get some strong bounce

This was something else y'all. I don't know what went wrong but my guess is that the promotor didn't have his *ish together because Doug E. Fresh didn't show up either and he ended up going to the Chuck Brown party. The people at this club knew Rob wasn't showing up and still sold these tickets under false pretenses in my opinion. I paid $30 for an advanced ticket and my other friends paid $50 at the door. The club is huge and it was full so they definitely turned a nice profit. Everyone I saw in Charlotte mentioned how R. Kelly didn't show up Friday and how he probably wouldn't show Saturday. Everyone was checking for the Friday party and there were so many people disappointed that he didn't show Saturday. I still had a blast because I was determined to do so regardless but the DJ didn't really say much, just played the music -- I guess he wasn't prepared to not have Doug there to hype the crowd.

That is so deceitful. How could they use his name like that? There could've been a riot or something. You never know how people react when they're outright cheated.

Actually, they didn't just use his name. Kellz initally was going to be there. I actually at first too didn't believe he would be there until I went to the promotor's site and heard Kellz voice promoting both events. I do not know at what point, things went awall. All I can think of, is his money wasn't right. He proability never had that type of money to pay Kellz to begin with. Y'all know Kellz anin't cheap. I'm figuring kellz, must me charging over $120,0000 to do events like this. I'm basing it off his last bogus law suit against him for the Double Up Afterparty.
