Thread: R. Kelly To Tour Europe This Spring

Just feeling sad. Was soooooo looking forward to see him. Throat problems or whatever the reason. Back to Youtube vids of live preformances. Sheeeeeeeeeeiiiiiiiiiiitttttt. Oh well.....

Now let ge get into that...I haven't been at home for 2 days and when I woke up this morning I had this message on my phone by Gowian telling me about this.
I was like: NO motherfucking WAY!!!!! This can't be true.

As you know me, I'd call myself one of the "fanatic" fans of R. Kelly. I always give this man the benefit of the doubt and defend him, no matter where, in front of whom and why. But slowly this man is cashing his bonus check for me.

Believe it or not, this is an extremely HUGE disappointment for all the fans in Europe. Just 2 days ago I read on a german site how someone, who went to the show in Cologne 9 years ago (where he went off stage after 30mins with "throat problems" and didn't say a word) still bought his tickets for the show this march in Cologne. He was like "I gotta forgive him for that, cause he won't disappoint me this time..." OH YEAH??? I wouldn't be surprised if that person doesn't give a fuck about a possible "rescheduling".

Which leads me to another point...RESCHEDULING. If there's a rescheduling(which I truely doubt), I bet the new plan will definitely contain less shows.
Fan you said the Amsterdam show was sold out? Yeah, London was sold out, too. But that's it. Basel for example has only about 500 tickets sold...don't tell me this man is gonna perform in front of such a small crowd. No way!
I've been in Cologne yesterday & today and there's NO sign of any promotion. Nada. Niente. Nichts. Everything, really EVERYTHING is placarded every 5 meters, but no damn sign of R. Kelly. What happened to promotion? Ever since "Chocolate Factory" people in Europe don't give a FUCK about R. Kelly anymore. he has had zero radio/charts sucess since "Ignition". Does R. Kelly and his team think he's coming to Europe and people are gonna go crazy for a ticket? Oh hell no. I don't even think the caretaker of the Cologne hall has his ticket yet. I'd like to laugh about my own joke now, but I'm too pissed.

He should just admit that he doesn't sell anymore (at least not here). And further more he SHOULD'VE still come. for the few fans who still save their money for tickets/hotel/train etc and pass on their summer holidays for that. And for all the haters (which he has soo many here, too...) to shut their trifling mouths.

Take 2nd R. as an example. She's coming all the way from Spain. 2 different flights, 2 hotels, trains etc and everything for 2 persons. Is she gonna get anything back from this money??? N - O. Second time this is happening to her in a 1 year period.
By the way, what was his excuse for the show in London last year? There wasn't any, was there?

Right now, if there's a rescheduling, I'd love to NOT go. really. I'm not only mad for myself, but for all of us. We were all so excited. I don't want to sound like a groupie. There's more important things in life than a R. Kelly show. However, this is really annoying.

But I know, in the end I'm going, because I love this man's music.

i will always give kells the benefit of doubt over these sort of situations, however i feel exactly the same way as you!

when he re-schedules his tour to the autumn ill definatly go, but it does piss me off and leave a fucking horrible taste in my mouth, that kells (who is a true legend, by anyones standards) keeps fucking us euro fans around like this.

at the end of the day if it was an artist that i never gave a fuck about i wouldnt be disapointed at all, but where its kells, it really disappoints me big time!

i mean he added an extra show in london for christ sakes, so there must have been demand, and if his throat is bad like they say, im sure that he could have still done a couple of shows even if he cancelled a few other shows.

He shouldn't do small countries. I still didn't get it why he was supposed to do a show in Basel. His music isn't doing good over here since "Ignition Remix" but that isn't his fault. The record label should do promotion and stuff like that. They didn't release singles over here, but Kells has a big name and he always gets some attention no matter what. The concert wasn't promoted big over here but still managed to be sold out in a couple of weeks. I don't know about the rest of Europe but Kells name is still big over here. he can sell out both Amsterdam and Rotterdam. I'm pretty sure about that. Kells is unique and i don't know what to believe, but i'm just hoping he'll get his things together and still do a tour in Europe. I love his music and that's why i can forgive him for this.

let's hope they are just postponed and not cancelled. On a side note, i always feels like his stuff ( Pr, promotion, ...) are not handle with professionalism

I just read he has been to at least the UK before, but I doubt he's ever been to Scandinavia. I wonder how he handles the flying part with his phobia.

He's over his phobia of flying, he's publically stated that ... he has flown longhaul to Africa twice within the last year so its not a question of flying no more ...

The phobia he is fighting now is EUROPE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
