Exactly, the fact that it's property of Jive Records and its lip-synced suggests it was from a video shoot. Can't think what else it'd be to be honest. I won't get my hopes up though but ti does look like a video has been shot. I think it'd be quite cool if they used footage from the second video too, in a similar way to the 'They Don't Care About Us' video by MJ.

The 2nd vid, Wow! That's a lot of love. Probably the biggest crowd reaction he got during his entire career?! I mean, on streets, not in concert venues or at award shows. The Vuvuzela sound got me feeling excited even more
Now he's experienced some portion, a small portion, more exactly, of what MJ had experienced in Africa and everywhere else. They both showed the same kind of response-he looks grateful and respectful all the way, just like MJ did. I love the way he showed the love in return.

Cup has restaurants rocking


US R&B star R Kelly was one of thousands of tourists who have descended on Johannesburg's restaurants since the World Cup kicked off two weeks ago.



The crooner ordered a double helping of pepperoni pizza last Friday at the Piatto restaurant in Sandton's Nelson Mandela Square.

"The place went ballistic," said manager Richard Thom.

Kelly is not the only big name to have been spotted dining at the city's eateries - celebrated football coach Kevin Keegan has been spotted at Ninos in Rosebank.

Soweto has also had its fair share of superstars with former French player Patrick Viera dining at Sakhumzi's in Orlando's Vilakazi Street.

Aside from the famous, ordinary Mexican and US fans have packed restaurants and bars at Nelson Mandela Square, Rosebank, and Melrose Arch in northern Johannesburg.

Many managers say business has been booming - including Nino's manager Chris Moustakis, 42, who has seen the Dutch team walk through his door.

"It's purely a tourist thing. It's been very quiet with the locals, my regulars are missing," he said.
Staff at establishments in Melrose Arch have been run ragged by high-spirited supporters lingering until 4am.

At the centre's Brazilian-themed Primi Piatti eatery, business has been good. Many Brazilian tourists have been ordering from the menu - which features Cadinho de Feijao (black bean soup garnished with bacon and parsley) and Feijoade (traditional bean and pork stew) - which has been specifically designed for them.

The Brazilians have been having such a great time that one table racked up a R14000 bill last week.
Restaurants report that foreign fans have been ordering vast quantities of meat, with steak topping the list.

At Moyo in Melrose Arch, the flamed fillet and springbok shank have proved to be a huge success.
Traditional dishes like mogodu (tripe) and pap have also been ordered by scores of visitors to Sakhumzi's - and they seem to like it.

Local beers are flying down foreigners' gullets at all restaurants and bars, with Black Label and Castle the biggest sellers.

Expensive brandies and whiskies - like 18-year-old Chivas Regal which sells for R81 a tot - are selling by the bottle.

However, many of the city's waiters are not smiling as many tourists expect a service fee to be included in the bill.

"Most of them don't tip," said Savvas Themistocleous, who owns Mimmo's in Rosebank, adding that he has to walk discretely from table to table to explain how things are done in South Africa.

But the foreigners have been a lot more forthcoming at Sakhumzi's. Owner Sakhumzi Maqubela said: "My waiters are smiling".

Hosting the first World Cup in the age of Twitter, South Africa has discovered unexpected benefits in its campaign to market the country in record-setting posts by celebrities and fans alike.



South Africa spent 100 million dollars on its marketing campaign, taking out television commercials around the globe.

But glowing comments on Twitter and Facebook by legendary sportsmen, Hollywood stars and ordinary fans are having just as big an impact, said Miller Matola, chief of Brand South Africa, a government agency tasked with marketing the country abroad.

"Social media has revolutionalised the word of mouth marketing. We are thrilled by the kind of feedback some celebrities have giving to the world about the country," Matola said.

"People tend to trust information that comes from their idols. What they say is like some sort of a stamp of approval."

Twitter said on Friday that World Cup football kicked the number of "tweets" fired off at the micro-blogging service to a record of 3, 283 per second, a high hit right after Japan beat Denmark 3-1.

The normal rate of tweets averages 750 per second, according to the company, which has warned users to expect outages as it copes with the heavy traffic during the World Cup.

With South Africa hoping to use the tournament to transform its image overseas, the country is beaming as celebrities share scenic pictures of top tourism sites and vow to come back.

Will.i.am, of the music group Black Eyed Peas, posted pictures of himself and singer Alicia Keys celebrating South Africa's first goal at the opening match, and enthused: "20 years ago no one would have never thought the whole world would come to south africa for world cup...this is historic".

They were among the litany of celebrities who visited South Africa for the tournament, including British Princes William and Harry, hip-hop artist K'Naan, rapper R Kelly, Mick Jagger of Rolling Stones fame and former supermodel Kimora Lee Simmons.

The model gushed to her fans about the city, posting pictures of the landmark Table Mountain from her room.

On her departure, Kimora promised to come back and stay longer.

"I am very sad 2 b leaving the gorgeous S.Africa! Thank u 2 all 4 ur luv and kindness! We'll b back very, very soon! Team Fabulosity SA rocks," she said.

Singer Akon declared his love for the country and the continent by posting mini-videos shot at different locations around South Africa.

"South Africa rocks, this is the place to be," the star said on Twitter.

"Thank You S. Africa!!," said R Kelly on his departure.

Distinctly South Africa words like vuvuzela, the noisy plastic horn which has become a signature sound at World Cup matches have become a trending topic on Twitter.

Even world football president Sepp Blatter has a Twitter account where he enthuses about the games and the organisation of the event.

But a researcher at IMM Graduate School of Marketing warned that the celebrity social-networking hype could easily fizzle if not supported by aggressive mainstream marketing.

"These avenues only create a short-term hype, there is still a strong need for diverse marketing," said Tony Chetty.
