R & B singer Robert Sylvester Kelly best known by the stage name, R. Kelly is slated to appear in Ethiopia on December 31, 2010.

The day will mark the Ethiopian Christmas celebration. R. Kelly, who won the Grammy Award in 1998, has been invited by the Sheraton hotel in Addis to join the Christmas celebration.



The 43-year-old singer is expected to be accompanied by Ethiopian singers such as the legendary Neway Debebe, the uprising star Helen Berhe, Reshan Gebre, Eyob Mekonen and Dj.def. According to an exclusive interview, the organizer of the event, Dany Davis, gave to Afro fm, the amount of entrance fee to the concert will be 2000 Ethiopian birr. R. Kelly is an R&B singer, songwriter, performer and record producer. Debuting in 1992 with the group named Public Announcement, Kelly went solo in 1993 with the album 12 Play. He is known for a collection of major hit singles including, "I Believe I Can Fly", "If I Could Turn Back the Hands of Time", "The World's Greatest", and the hip-hopera "Trapped in the Closet".
