Thread: Kellz is being sued by KC Private Investigator Charles Freeman

On Friday, a Kansas City man named Charles Freeman filed a lawsuit against singer R. Kelly and his manager, Daryll McDavid. In the suit, Freeman claims that he entered into an agreement in 2001 with R. Kelly and McDavid to "act as a private investigator" and retrieve "tapes" relevant to R. Kelly's then-upcoming child-pornography trial. R. Kelly was accused of 21 counts of child pornography. The trial, which was delayed until 2008, centered on a tape that allegedly showed R. Kelly having sex with a 14-year-old girl.

R. Kelly was acquitted of all charges in 2008. A story posted on Chicago news aggregator Web site WindyCitizen.com mentions Freeman in a day-by-day review of the trial. "It was reported that two Kansas City men allegedly paid by R. Kelly's representatives for the return of a sex tape would arrive in Chicago to offer more information about the tape at the center of the case," reads the article by Darryl Swint. "(Kansas City resident Keith) Murell and Charles Freeman were accused by Kelly's reps of faking a sex tape and trying to extort money from the singer. Records show in 2002 Freeman sued Kelly for failing to pay him $140,000 for the return of a videotape."

Apparently, Freeman's still feeling pissed on, and that makes him pissed off. Here's the lawsuit Freeman filed on Friday

Lol! Only a matter of time before R.Kelly & Lawsuit were in the same sentence again!...this guy like most of the people who have tried to get money out of Kells will 100% fall flat on his face...

This is pretty sad. It's the last thing he needs. He probably just getting his peace of mind back, working in the studio, spending time with his kids...and here he's slapped with yet ANOTHER lawsuit. Not good. That's a lot of damn money. Even for Kellz. He doesn't need to be dropping those kinds of bucks on this guy. He's got enough things to worry about paying. It would be nice if this case is thrown out.

I thought this same guy tried to sue Kellz. Sometime back in 2003. And the case was thrown out of court

I was thinking the same thing. If its not thing, its another with Kellz. I hope this case gets thrown out. If Kellz in fact owe this man, he needs to just pay up.
