Thread: Kells sues LA Night Club

R&B star R. KELLY is on the other side of the law now. He is the one suing two Los Angeles nightclub promoters for using his name to market an event without his permission.
He filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles County Superior Court, claiming promoters for Sugar nightclub told party people he would host a recent event.
Kelly insists this constitutes “falsely advertising” - because he knew nothing about the party.

R. Kelly doesnt want to be used.

I applaud him for going after Promoters and nightclubs that use his name when its not being paid for.

Good job, Rob! These wack a$$ promoters falsely use entertainers' names just to get people in the club usually at some ridiculous price and the only people who benefit from this false advertisement are the promoters. It gives the entertainer a bad name, as if he needs any more bad publicity, by having some people think that the no-show entertainer was acting aarogantly and refused to show up after people spent money thinking that they could hang out with the celeb.

Its time Kellz go after some of these guys.

I know he had to keep a low profile with the case and all...

Seems like he's doing what needs to be done to keep those unethical promoters from falsely using his name. Yeah, it's time to turn the tables.

after the mess that happen on his last tour you know now that he can go out directly and deal he is gonna let it be known not to mess with his name.

That's what I'm talking about. Those shysters knew damn well that they must have consent by the artist FIRST before hosting ANYTHING. Also, making sure that the artist is THERE at whatever event it is. It sounds like to me that those lowdown fools had done that because of these:

1. They are haters!
2. Trying to make Kellz look bad in order to start some shit
3. To get in touch with the negative-ass media by LYING saying that they had hosted an R. Kelly event, but he (Kellz) didn't show up.
4. They could NOT get over Kell's you-know-what!

Kellz does NOT play, and I hope that he wins!
