R. Kelly's Double Up Tour is heading to The Forum in Inglewood, California on December 14 -- and so are the Project Islamic HOPE protestors. Project Islamic HOPE is staging the "Protest Against Pedophiles and Candlelight Vigil" in support of sexual assault victims at the Forum, which is owned by Faithful Central Church. Bishop Kenneth C. Ulmer is the pastor of the church.


Najee Ali, executive director of Project Islamic HOPE asked, "How can the church allow R-Kelly, a man who is currently facing 14 federal counts of child molestation, to perform on Friday night, have service on Sunday morning and believe all is well?" Ali says the message the church is sending to young children is that money is more important than taking a stand in support of victims who have been victimized by R-Kelly and other child molesters.


The protest begins at 5 p.m. Details are below.

When: Friday Dec 14th 2007 @ 5:00 p.m


Why: The Forum is owned by Faithful Central Church, which is a mega church under the leadership of Bishop Kenneth C. Ulmer. R-Kelly is currently facing 14 federal counts of child molestation. Why is the church not giving aid and comfort to the victims of sexual assaults but instead supporting R-Kelly a pedophile (who married the singer Alliyah when she was only 15 years old.)

My only question is "Why are they doing the concert in a church"? Was the staple center booked already? Lord, Kellz does not need any more bad publicity.

it use to be the great western forum were the lakers played for many years and a church bought the property. many artist from many genres have concerts there all the time. najee ali protests everything in LA for his own personal gain, this fool isnt worried about black people only himself.

I don't tink the people who go to the concert will pay much attention to this. If i remember it right wasn't there a protest at the LIU tour as well??

najee ali protested at the tour he did with ashanti and that one was at the forum also. and from what i heard he was ignored then. rkellygurl went to that one and she said most fans verbally attacked najee and many ignored him and went in to see the show.

now thats the truth. gang tagging on all the buildings and houses here in LA. and gangs standing on every damn corner. najee need to go and speak to them. and ask them to stop tearing their neighborhoods up and killing each other over a damn color, street corner.....

I am going to the show, I am still checking out the tickets, attention fans, the front row sections were released just recently way after the tickets already went on sale. When they first went on sale there were no front seats so I decided to wait. The sold them about around a week ago. As far as protesting, I am going, I don't care, I was planning to bring banners for R. to lift him up and now I am going to for sure. I will meet at 5pm too. Thanks.
