R. Kelly to Embark on U.S. Concert Tour
NEW YORK (AP) — R. Kelly's twisted taste — most recently seen in his "Trapped in the Closet" campfest — could be front and center on his upcoming U.S. concert tour.
The singer announced Tuesday that he will open the tour in Columbus, Ga., on Nov. 14. He will be joined by Keyshia Cole, Ne-Yo and J.Holiday.
The tour — in support of Kelly's latest album, "Double Up" — tentatively includes stops in Atlanta; Dallas; Washington; Houston; Las Vegas; New Orleans; Philadelphia; Baltimore; Chicago; St. Louis; Newark, N.J.; and Oakland, Calif.
"Trapped in the Closet" is a 22-part ghetto soap opera with a cast of characters including a well-endowed midget, a gay pastor and a convict named `Twon. Kelly, 40, released a DVD of the strange saga in August.
Kelly was charged with child pornography in 2002 and is accused of engaged in videotaped sex acts with an underage girl. Kelly's trial in Chicago was postponed last month because the lead prosecutor had a baby. A new date hasn't been set.
Kelly's spokesman, Allan Mayer, said on Tuesday that Kelly was in the process of getting court permission to travel on the tour. Mayer said Kelly has received approval for previous tours and events outside of Illinois.

I mostly agree with those time limits but think J.Holiday might only get 30 mins or less. 4 performers is alot, maybe they should have had just 3. I wonder what the profit split will be? 55% Kells, 20% NeYo, 20% Keisha, 10% J.Holiday? Just my wild guess, I don't really know who is most popular after Kells or how much time they will get.
^ ^ yea...kellz will get the lions share because its his tour.
I would agree that kellz has more than 1/2 of the share. light it up and double up were very successful so i think at this point he is touring because he likes it and because he wants to promote the CD, himself and stay relevent and new for his upcoming projects.

I wonder why R. Kelly is going to on tour with Ne-Yo after he said some bullshit about his legal problems. But I guess I guess Kells would sing "this is just business, it ain't personal".

Money and dollars change so much. and Ne-Yo is Jay Z's Boy. so much there to speculate on and wonder.
Kellz will come on last of course and get the lion's share of the time on stage and Loot. J-Holiday might have 3-5 songs tops. Keyshia will Probably do about 10 songs which is about 8 songs too many IMO. I mean she is thinking she is Mary J.Bliege Jr.
Ne-Yo i guess he will be up there for a while though he bores the hell out of me.
thanks everybody for the Info. peace
I remember going to a Destiny's Child concert and they had three opening acts (Mario, AMiere and someone else).....everybody got about 25 minutes and DC performed about 2 hours it was a very long concert. I'm hoping Kells gives us more that 60 minutes cause I will feel cheated after paying about 100 dollars for the tickets.
I remember his concert in 1996 at the then Anaheim Pond in California.
There was Solo, Xscape, LL Cool J, then Kells.
The concert started @ 7:30 and we didn't get out of there until atleast 11:30.
I don't know what the break down of time was but of course Solo wasn't on long cause they were a new group. Xscape was on a little longer than them. And LL had a little longer set than Xscape.
Kells seem to be on stage a long time to me and even had a couple of intermissions.
It was a great concert!
P.S. There was a long intermission between LL and Kells cause they had to reset the stage. LL had a huge radio and Kells had a huge bed![]()
