    R. Kelly to begin tour in Columbus

    R. Kelly's "Double Up Tour" comes to the Columbus Civic Center, 400 Fourth St., on Nov. 14.

    The 7:30 p.m. concert also features J Holiday and Keyshia Cole.

    Kelly may be best known for his hits "I Believe I Can Fly" in 1996, "Step in the Name of Love" in 2003 and "Happy People" in 2004. He surprised some fans with his 2005 rap mini-opera, "Trapped in the Closet."

    The artists will be kicking off a 40-city tour from Columbus after rehearsing here for three days.

    Ticket prices will be announced Tuesday, and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday.

    IMO I don't think Kellz should do a tour for this CD. He should of waited till he put out a RnB album for a tour.
    You have to be prepared to show people how much you don't give a fuck at all times.

    IMO he needs to tour. He had one of the biggest R-and-B album releases of the year, was a top the DVD sales charts with his tour DVD and TITC and has had several videos and singles on heavy rotation on TV and Radio.

    Thanks for the news Kellsisking. He talked about touring on that MTV special before the DU cd was released. I thought he would tour for DU, just didn't know how he'd fit it into the court schedule. Anyway, Keyshia was right.
