Thread: Zodiac: 12 Signs

Zodiac, the definition of it at least, might be helpful in analyzing the number of tracks on Rob's upcoming album, as well as the style of these tracks.

in astronomy, the term "zodiac" refers to the twelve different signs: Capricorn, Aries, Scorpio, etc.

there are 12...think about it. Rob might be indicating that he's gonna have the album contain 12 songs.

and just like the different astrological signs, these songs would all have a different feel to them. if this is the case, i think it's fucking brilliant.

any thoughts?

But yea, I agree it's brilliant. I figured that it was continuation of 12 play which also had 12 tracks. 12 play cemented him as an artist and re-defined R&B and soul. I can't wait to hear what he got in store for us with Zodiac. Just hoping 'Tongues' isn't on it.

I i'm feeling that...let's not forget that we might just get some tight remixes out of this album and then you'll know kells is officially back to his primary roots (slow it down R&B King).

and if i am right about the 12 signs concept, just imagine what the album cover could look like. lots of great things Rob could do with that.

why would it be just remixes? i think remix city vol. 2 would be the appropriate place for that.

I like your idea. In my case, the 1st time I heard the title "Zodiac" mentioned, "Signs of Love Makin Pt.2" came to mind and I still think of the song, esp. the line that goes "These are the zodiac signs that I wanna make love to." You know, so it might be an album full of baby-making music that revolves around the zodiac signs concept. But that's where my idea about any possible direction ends.

I think he's hoping he can hear some remixes for the new tracks off Zodiac, not another remix album. I feel the same way.
