anyway, i don't compare the two of them.
Prince is kind of in a different genre of R&B than Kells is.
I can't quite explain it, but his public persona is just different than Kells. prince is extremely concerned with keeping a certain "mystique" about him, and while I do consider him to be a legend (that's a fact), he is not as consistent as Kells.
Perch mentioned about prince's musical talents regarding the fact that he can play more instruments than Rob, has a higher vocal range, etc.
this is confusing to me, because it makes it seem as if the more THINGS YOU CAN DO must mean you are MORE TALENTED. which is so clearly a false statement when applied to this convo, as well as practically any other similar situation.
prince is great, but Rob is King. and while we're at it, lemme just say: MJ > Prince.
